You guys should get back into it. There are two great televised companies: Ring of Honor which comes on HDNet on Mondays, and TNA which comes on Spike on Thursdays. It's worth your time to just check it out for a few weeks and see what you think.

Didn't HDNet cancel their ROH broadcasts?

I agree about Jeff Hardy. I absolutely can't stand him, or his brother for that matter, and they should just let both of them go. I also wish they would bring back the six sided ring, and get rid of Taz as an announcer (to bring back Don West).

But what you said about the older guys and corny storylines, I couldn't agree more. Sting is the champ, say what you want about that, but he's my favorite wrestler in the world, and in my opinion still one of the best. Angle's up there in age, but he can also constantly deliver. And they're pushing younger guys too, like Crimson, Gunner, Austin Aries, etc.

Sting is a good worker and has had a great wrestling career but he's had the same character for 15 years and there's just nothing that draws me to watch wrestling because of Sting. I mean yeah John Cena's character sucks and we're all tired of it but I just find nothing interesting about Sting anymore. And generally I oppose 50 year old being World Title holders... it's time to retire even if it's fake.

the main event picture is dominated by WWE retreads in Angle, Jarrett, Anderson and Hardy... it's pretty much the same old shit.

Hardy hasn't been working for TNA in months, Anderson is fading away from the main event picture after another very short title reign, and Angle has been in TNA for long enough that his legacy has been left more there than in WWE. The champ right now is Sting, with guys like Crimson, Matt Morgan, Gunner, and AJ Styles, as well as Kurt Angle, being the top contenders to get a shot at the title. So the guys known for their time in WWE actually aren't that big right now in the main events.

Sting just had a character change actually. They have him in kind of a Joker from Batman role, and he smears his paint like a clown.

They were bought by Sinclair Broadcasting, who are going to put ROH on the TV stations they own that do not have CW or MyNetworkTV programming.

If I were starting up a wrestling company tomorrow, I would do my my best to get Paul Heyman in as head of the creative side. I just would not give him any control over the checkbook.

He could've been a very good mid-card, IC/US/Tag Team Champion. Instead, they used him as a jobber to the stars.

I pretty much lost interest in wrestling once the 'Attitude Era' disappeared, but I have to admit that with the return of 'The Rock' (even though he hasn't been around on a regular basis) and with the sudden emergence of CM Punk, I recently have been brought back in.

WWE should have never released Mickie James and Shelton Benjamin last year. It would be a dream for them to release John Cena but I know that won't happen in the near future.
