Wade will be 34 for the next olympics. Kobe will be 38.Bosh will be 33(regardless, he wouldn't have been a big loss).

I still wanted Lebron and Paul to consider FIBA and Rio, but they've already won two gold so I respect their decisions.

They'll have a solid core with Love,Durant,Irving,Harden,etc...

Yeah I expected Kobe and Wade to be done because of age. Technically 33-34 isn't that old, but with the new young stars coming into the program I can see a whole team of guys basically below 30. Lebron and CP3 could easily contribute to the 2016 team (and so could everyone else minus Kobe probably) but yeah, them having won already probably reduces the motivation to play.

I hope Rose gets a chance to win a gold though. He should've been on the 2012 team in the world of rainbows and unicorns, but alas.

Yeah, but I just find it more difficult at that age to want to add more milage by playing in the olympics and going through all the preparation. I think Wade and Bosh are on their way down anyways, albeit gradually.

Bosh is actually a pretty significant loss because we have no bigs....

Yeah exactly. They'd want to focus on their NBA careers more at that point. And with the new talent coming in, there's no real need to push themselves like that.

Kevin Love?

We had Chandler, Love, and Davis (who albeit didn't play much) as bigs last Olympics and basically crushed everyone. Part of it was that Lebron and Melo could play the 4 and still be effective. Not quite the Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer combo of 08, but I guess when you're raining 3s all game you don't need post play as much.

Honestly, I think we could do fine running Durant at the 4 again. There's also the chance that the next group of players will include some guys like Greg Monroe or Demarcus Cousins who could easily be a force in the paint against any team that isn't Spain. Anthony Davis might be there again too so it's not like we'd have no one down low.

Nice pick up for the pacers.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9513617/indiana-pacers-trade-phoenix-suns-luis-scola-publicist

The Phoenix Suns' Luis Scola is headed to the Indiana Pacers in a trade, according to his publicist in Argentina.

Juan Sebastia, who runs Scola's website, tweeted Friday night that a trade to send the Argentine big man to the Pacers would be officially announced Saturday.

Neither team commented in the immediate aftermath of the tweet.

But sources with knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com that one trade scenario on the table would send swingman Gerald Green and future draft considerations to Phoenix in exchange for Scola, whose arrival in Indiana would only strengthen a front line headlined by center Roy Hibbert and the recently re-signed David West.

Ryan Anderson's girlfriend died. Rumor is a drug overdose/suicide.

Whoops. Well, if it was an overdose, I wasn't far off.
