The weirder thing for me is how do you get close enough to sustain injuries to your hand but yet come up empty? Obviously heat of the moment and you never know how people will react but I have to imagine if that were my kid and I got to that alligator, I'm going done with the ship.

There is no way he is dragging my kid underwater without me going under as well because I would be holding on to that mofo for dear life. Almost seems like the father approached this gator a bit too cautiously as if the gator just had his barbecue in his mouth rather than his child. Then again maybe being too harsh.

I think you are either underestimating the gator, or overestimating your own power.

How so? I am not suggesting I would be successful. I said I would go down with ship.

This is especially true when the kid's body was intact which leads me to believe there wasn't that much of a struggle involved.

LOL, Remy, speculating there was little struggle in the boys death. Do you have a forensic back ground?

There is only one thing that can defeat a gator on this board. That would be a mythical beast known as Bigfoot, good thing the board has one.
If it was my child I could.

Well of course it's speculation but a father suffering minor injuries and a body that was intact leads to that being reasonable speculation.

From the reports the father tried to pry the gators mouth open when he should have been violently attacking the soft spots of the gator to get it to voluntarily let go off the kid and at worst come after him instead or at best retreat.

You aren't going to pry a gators mouth open with your bare hands. You attack the eyes and shit. This father trying to pry it's mouth open would be like a fly buzzing around you incesssantly.

My favorite part is that the article described it as "minor injuries" to the father's hand. Makes me think he got a scratch or broke a nail and let his kid get taken.

I imagine the father pulled a Steve Harvey:

Maybe if you had Rango with ya. I'm just saying my big beast ass jumped in water and tried to grab a gator, and almost brought it to land.

I'm sure that was first and foremost in the minds of a family from Nebraska, a place where gators are literally everywhere. Good stuff.

I saw gator signs every other block in Omaha. They were everywhere.

Nah gators, a new species, only exist in Florida. This is why no one knows about them.

So they are like unicorns where you only see them in certain places like Narnia.

They have alot of signs to put up in Narnia....

Don't worry, my distant cousin on my Dad's side already has a class action against Narnia. For one, he was going through his wardrobe one day and ended up in Narnia because there was no sign posted on the wardrobe that it was a doorway to Narnia. And then, there was no beware of Unicorn signs posted and one dashed by and got him right in the groin area.

I bet your cousin is from Nebraska.... people from Nebraska are not expected to know anything about any places they go whether fictional or not.

I imagine Disney will pay out with an undisclosed amount.
They will want this to go away.

Disney should ban all people from Nebraska and other states where people don't realize Florida has alligators that might be in a lagoon
