What's it going to take for Texas to win tonight? I think they can slow down the running game but I don't think they can really slow down OSU's air attack.

Will probably need some well times blitzes early to get Howard a little sped up.

UT will then need to possess the ball and shorten the game.

I'd say about a 15-20% chance this happens.

OSU 34-24

Jeremiah Smith to go down with an injury

Dude is going to absolutely torch the Longhorns

Yet, you wanted me to conform to solely this season yesterday, remember??

Which is it, Remy?! Which way do you want it??

The issue here is whatever criteria you use to judge should be applied consistently. I did not apply one criteria to 2024 and then another to 2023.

If we apply the criteria of appearing in the NC then that means either the Big 10 or PAC 12 was the best conference last year and the best conference this year will be determined by who wins tonight.

So the problem is you lose either way as even if Texas wins then per your criteria it would mean the SEC could not be the best conference in 2023. However, if OSU wins then you are doubly fucked.

Or you could just admit your stated criteria was just dumb which we both know it was.

It is OSU. Always a chance that Ryan Day and company choke yet again.

That and Texas might remember their Big 12 roots and not play like one of these soft SEC teams.

It would help if they played an entire game. They tend to sleepwalk too much. Either team defeats ND though.

UT has yet to play a full game to the best of their ability, which makes it hard to think they will tonight. Still think they should have rolled with Arch this year, would have had a much better chance to be great by this time.

You are really superstitious about picking ND, you've picked against them every game since USC. I think ND would have a solid chance to beat UT. OSU like 5%.

I think ND would have a real chance to beat Texas. OSU not that much.

That being said OSU by 10+ tonight.

Could you keep your little catfight out of responses to my non-catfight posts plz?

Thanks.

That was relevant to your post. Texas needs to play the more aggressive attacking offensive football that the Big 12 is known for rather than the more conservative defense oriented play the SEC is known for. But yes I could have made that point without the obvious dig at the SEC.

If there is one thing I hate, its people who apply judgement criteria inconsistently. Its the proverbial "moving the goalposts".

I don't think UT's offense will be the issue if they can't make OSU one-dimensional on offense.

Still cant believe this is the same team
Sometimes an embarrassing game is the catalyst for a championship run. I believe Philly dominated the Niners at home by a score of 40-8 and then the Niners went on to dominate in 94
