I certainly hope that Illinois does pummel Purdue because I always worry about Illinois finding a way to blow a game against a lesser opponent. I think Purdue is too bad for that to be a concern.
I also would not be surprised if USC beats Penn State, but I will say that I am always somewhat down on Penn State compared to wherever they are ranked. I always think they are not as good as the voters think they are. And frankly, Penn State never seems to beat comparably talented teams. They only beat up on the weaker Big Ten opponents. I think little of James Franklin as a head coach while he somehow is considered a top coach.
tOSU vs Oregon should be good. I can’t remember major-league baseball ever moving a playoff game before to avoid a television conflict with college football, but that’s what they did in moving Cleveland versus Detroit to the afternoon.
Well, I might have cracked a joke about Lane Kiffin, I wish he would beat LSU tonight. Any Brian Kelly loss is a good loss.
And somehow the red river rivalry has flown under the radar this week. I’ve not heard a word until I read this post that Texas played Oklahoma today.
