Really disappointing game from Jeanty. Came in averaging over 11 ypc but slumped to 7 ypc yesterday. He has now dropped to 10.9 ypc on the season.

So after Dan Lanning admitted that Oregon intentionally put 12 defenders on the field laid in the game against Ohio State in order to runoff some clock, the NCAA believes they have addressed and fixed the issue.

If there are 12 men on the field, the offense can accept the 5 yard penalty and also can have the clock reset to the same amount of time that was on the clock when the ball was snapped.

But here’s the beauty that the NCAA left in that sort of negates the whole thing: if one of the defenders is trying to get off the field, resetting the clock is not an option.

Well, doesn’t that mean you can still do the exact same thing but you only have to have one guy slowly jogging toward the sideline? It doesn’t really fix the problem. It just changes the look of the 12 defenders in order to pull the same trick.

It's this simple really... if you see 12 defenders, snap the ball and spike it. 1 second goes off and you get 5 yards. Still time for 2 plays. The sole reason for the defensive strategy is to turn 2 plays into 1 where the yardage doesn't change the play calling of the offense.

It's also hilarious how since it happened to Ohio State, they have to immediately change the rule because we can't have bad things happening to that team!

If this would have happened to say Northwestern, no one would have given a rats ass.

If they don’t want bad things to happen to Ohio State stop letting them play top five teams

Ryan Day is another Jon Cooper. Guy can’t coach his way out of a paper bag. If they fall flat on their face in the playoffs, I wonder if they axe him.

To be fair, he has lost nine games while at Ohio State. Six to Top 5 teams, and the lowest ranked team to beat him was number 12.

Then again, I don’t see anybody thinking that Ohio State is beating people based on their coaching rather than their talent level.

I can’t believe FSU is 1-6.

Took Harbaugh 9 years to win a title. Day is in his 6th year with OSU and is 61-9.

Again, no team not Top 12 has beaten them.

But they are all in on NIL and win now, so it’s championship or bust.

Some good matchups tomorrow including the Illini with their Red Grange era uniforms ready for Michigan.

I just don’t see it with Day. Cooper always had superior talent and couldn’t get it done, and I believe Day is the same coach. His clock management in the UGA playoff game at the end was laughable and we saw the same debacle against Oregon. They are just too soft.

I agree. Back when the Bears were looking for a coach and his name came up I was really worried. I don’t know who looks at Ohio State and thinks they’re winning because of innovative coaching. This man has a stacked deck and naturally wins a lot of games, but he’s always got superior talent to the opponent. They are not winning because of anything he comes up with.

I think Texas covers, Ga Tech pulls off the upset vs ND, Illinois defeats Michigan. LSU probably doesn’t leave Fayetteville with a victory and Alabama beats Tennessee because the Vols QB has lost all his confidence it seems. Louisville could beat Miami but their head coach doesn’t know when to go for it or kick a FG/punt.

I am going to a bar hosting both the Illinois and Michigan Fan clubs in a joint watch so I am afraid we will not get more than one game, but the Alabama Tennessee game would be appealing to me at that same time slot.

Georgia, Texas tonight could be very good.

In the early timeslot, Indiana is facing Nebraska. I don’t think Nebraska’s really really good or anything, but I’m curious to see what happens when Indiana plays their first top 50 team of the year. The Hoosiers have not traveled yet this season in six games but they’ve also been playing high school teams.

Gimme Jawja, ND, Michigan, LSU, and Tennessee. I’ll take the opposites!

Nico needs to get out of his own head. He’s much better than the way he has been playing lately. I don’t know what happened to him
