It was still sloppy but once Tennessee got their run game going, Bama had all sorts of discipline issues with penalties & defensive assignments. Alabama could have converted a long 4th & 22 but their star freshman WR decided not to block on a screen pass lol.
DeBoer is in a no win situation but he sure isn't helping himself. That team looks pretty average and not well coached.

Some good games next week

Mizzou @ Alabama
*want to believe Alabama bounces back
Penn State @ Wisconsin
*Wisconsin is now quietly 5-2, might be ranked
Illinois @ Oregon
*likely rout here, sorry @TL1961
LSU @ Texas A&M
*TAMU has put together a nice season since week 1, ditto LSU
ND @ Navy
*I like Navy here
Washington to get waxed at Indiana @iueyedoc
KSU beats their little brother in football @DaaBears

I’m pretty sure ESPN goes with LSU/TAMU for game day but wouldn’t be surprised if they travel to the meadowlands for Navy/ND since they have already been to College Station this year.
LSU should beat A&M easily. A&M has benefited from an easy SEC schedule to this point. Course, I still don’t think that highly of any team coached by Brian Kelly lol

Bama should blast Missouri. Missouri has also benefited from not playing anyone really yet and still looking mediocre while doing it

I gotta agree with Navy and Wisconsin. I could see both of them winning next week

Fickell is a good coach. Just doesn’t have the talent. Brian Kelly has just never had the talent to compete with the elite. When you start walk-ons at ND, you are generally going to be run over by Saban & Prime Dabo(which is long gone).

Texas A&M and LSU have both looked better than Alabama. Ole Miss has predictably choked. Interesting pecking order in the SEC now. Loser of Missouri/Bama will be eliminated from the playoff next week. I don’t see UGA/Tennessee being a high scoring game, Tennessee’s defense is legit & Beck is a turnover prone QB now bb
Mizzou has not really looked good in any of their four games vs decent opponents.

I’m the first one to say I expect a rout at Oregon next week.

As I stated earlier, that I can live with, though I would like them to keep it from being too embarrassing, but it’s the other four games against middling Big Ten teams that I really want to see Illinois take care of their business.

I would love to see both Notre Dame and Brian Kelly lose next week though I fear they will both win.

If you are the head coach at Notre Dame and having to start walk on, you’re doing something really wrong.

Let’s not pretend Notre Dame doesn’t recruit itself.

For those ill-informed on this, their recruiting pool is sometimes 30% of what SEC schools(non-Vandy of course) can recruit. Some recruiting cycles it tends to go to 50%, but try competing with the elites and you have to eliminate more than half of the available athletes. When you get into the 5star athletes, it’s even more difficult.

Injuries happen and they don’t run 3 to 4 deep like SEC schools/OSU can.

So I couldn't find anywhere else to ask this question and since it is college related I figured I would stick it here. I really don't watch college football and especially no Illini being in Ca. Last week I caught the Purdue game and noticed a center on Ill with the name Kruetz. Further research showed he is the 4th rated center in the NCAA. Do you guys think he will go pro after this year and if so is he worth a third round choice?

Yes, was very happy to hear that. I don't know where Ertz stands contract wise, but I assume at some point Sinnott will be the man.
It’s just a 1 year contract. He likely retires this upcoming offseason. Most were surprised he came back to play one more year when he signed with Washington.

He is a tad undersized and not as strong as his father was so it is possible he lasts ubtil then. Hard to tell at the moment though as still early in the process.

Olin also has a son on the team that plays LB.
