A former boss of mine was a regional manager at Sports Authority(remember that?) and Deion would show up and always buy fishing poles & gear. He finally asked him why he was always buying fishing gear and Deion told him he would give it to the neighborhood kids and encourage them to go fishing

That’s really cool. It’s always nice to hear people who have a lot give back to others. In his prime, he’s definitely in the list of one of the best athletes. 2-sport guy who played both at a very high level.

If you notice, so far, those teams that had a bye in the playoffs are currently 0-3. Apparently the reason this has happened is that players from Boise State, Oregon, and Arizona State had to take their final exams last week, while players from Penn State, Texas, and Ohio State were exempt.

Aren't Ohio State players always exempt from taking final exams?

I remember him winning MVP one year with some Kirk Gibson like numbers. My favorite player was Mark Lemke. Very clutch hitter. I figure those Braves teams could have won more World Series if they didn't have Charlie Leibrandt on their staff
