This will put the Brewers up with the Reds in the Central. Are they going to dump Fielder next?

Not for this year. I won't be surprised to see them add another name before the season starts. They look like they're going balls-out for this season...and honestly w/ those 3 pitchers they're close to the top of the division already.

This trade almost tells the Brewers have no intention on keeping Fielder.

I think it's a good trade for both. I still like Gallardo over Greinke.

Greinke will help out a lot, but not as much as people think. That's all I'm saying.

Also, the Brewers offense is OK. They have Braun and Filder, really. Hart is hit of miss. Escobar killed the Cubs, so I'm happy he's gone. Also, the Brewers will be kinda good but they still need more pieces.

Also, their pitching in their farm system is shitty now. Wold was good, but sucked last year so I don't think he will help too much and the 5th starter won't be good. So, there's still a lot of questions.

Right now, I still have the Reds in first, Brewers in second, Cards in third, Cubs in fourth, Astros in fifth and the Pirates in 6th. However, injuries plays a big role and can mix up the early predictions standings.

This makes MIL the favorite in NL CENTRAL. There 1-4 SP is better then any team in NL CENTRAL and with that high power offense. Sure is funny how MIL WANTS TO WIN. Cubs just keep falling back.

Every time anybody that isn't the Cubs get somebody it means the Cubs want to lose? Interesting.

They might want to win, but their not going to.

MIL finished 4 in runs last year in NL...There SP was 15th in NL. Now there SP will be prolly top 5 or even top 3 in NL in 2011.. With that offense they will win ALOT of games....there my pick

Ah, I see.

The offer from the Nats wasn't bad. Only two players were mention, but there not bad.

Drew Storen and Danny Espinosa would have gone to the Nats, among others. Those two players would have been good players to acquire.

I still have the Reds. They need more on offense now, or their not going to win. Then, maybe I'll say their the leader.

When they are ACES and cubs dont want spend the MONEY then yes. MIL willing to give up PROSPECTS to WIN NOW while Cubs are praying that there below top 10 FARM SYSTEM becomes there saviors. Atleast the Cubs can win MINOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS. MIL cant say that :smug2:

Why does a team with Fielder,Braun,Hart,McGhee, Weeks, need more offense. They were 4th in NL last year. There problem has been SP and now thats taken of care of with a VERY GOOD 1-3 and solid 4. There SP makes Cubs look bad now.

Greinke better then Z and Demp

Gallardo better then Demp and Z

Marcum better then Wells

Wolf better then Silva/Gorz

Ok I'll give you, Fielder and Braun. But, Hart is hit or miss. Who will show up, hot Hart ot cold Hart. McGhee played good, but his stats will decline. I can guarantee that. Weeks is OK, nothing spectacular.

I don't think Wells, Silva and/or Gorz will be in the starting rotation. Your not a fan of Z, but if he keeps his emotions doen, he's a good pitcher and a better pitcher than you think.

I don't get it... What's the big hype around Escobar? He sucks.

I saw that this might happen a few hours ago on a blog.. I'll look for the link. He said that the other play was Bentancourt + 2 MM. Bentancourt is somehow worse than Escobar. How? I don't know.
That's because Escobar is a good defensive SS and Betancourt plays no defense.

I think that this puts them into 2nd, with us at 3rd and the Cardinals at 4th. I am really not a fan of Theriot or Berkman. At all. Plus, their defense is going to suck ass with Holliday in RF.
They're keeping Holliday in LF and putting Berkman in RF. Their defense is going to suck w/ a slow 1st baseman in RF and no Brendan Ryan.
