It would be great to land Grienke, but it's still just a pipe dream, as I doubt we have the prospects (and money, Grienke makes $13.5 MM in 2011 and 2012) to run with other ballclubs. But still, what a sweet dream that is.

Hawk would wet himself with excitement if Kenny acquired him.
traded per reports out of milwaukee and kc....he is a brewer
According to SI.com's Jon Heyman, Zack Greinke and Yuniesky Betancourt have been traded to the Brewers in exchange for Lorenzo Cain, Alcides Escobar, pitching prospect Jake Odorizzi and a player to be named later.
Jim Breen of the blog "Bernie's Crew" and Andrew Wagner of OnMilwaukee.com were the first to report the deal. Heyman adds that the trade must be approved by commissioner Bud Selig since the Royals are also sending $2 million to the Brewers to offset the buyout they'd have to pay assuming they decline Betancourt's 2012 option. There had been speculation that Jeremy Jeffress was part of the deal, but it appears it's a player to be named later instead. It looks like a quantity over quality trade for the Royals, as they're not getting a sure-fire blue chip prospect (though Odorizzi does have quite a bit of upside) but instead a handful of players that could be solid contributors. Stay tuned.
I love what Wikipedia says-- Grienke demanded a trade because he did not want to play for a "rebuilding team". "Rebuilding"? The Royals? - That would actually be progress for those clowns.
My favorite thing about living in KC was how the fans there on talk back radio (sports variety), and in the have your say area of the paper, used to crap all over the Cubs. Considering this is the Sox area- hey, I can understand it - but the Royals?! ... My favorite part of all that was when those clowns there won a World Series due to an ump mistake, and then about a decade later went off and created major league history with the most consecutive 100+ loss seasons - even the Flubs never managed that one.
The Royals -the best argument for MLB contraction you can come up with .
The Royals have hands down, far and away, the best farm system in baseball. How is that not rebuilding? If anyone is the clown, it's you with your blind ignorance.
