Where would Turris fit on this roster?

Call me crazy, but I'm not ready to take Kane out of that 2nd center spot.

2nd line center or winger. He played some wing with the Coyotes when he was trying to break into the lineup. He could likely take the spot of a Carcillo/Brunette. Carcillo is playing great with Hossa/Kane, but Brunette seems to be struggling in that position on his line.

The Yotes kept him up way too early though because he wasn't physically mature at all, even in 08/09. He has had some growing pains but showed some solid promise in the AHL 2 years ago and had an okay season in the NHL last year.

He's young, and can probably develop into a better scoring threat. I think his body will develop a little too.

I can't really blame him for not wanting to be on a crappy team, but I'm not sure I like the holdout thing. Of course though they own his rights he's a free agent of a sorts and is simply exercising his rights under the deal.

I wouldn't mind signing him for a reasonable amount of money, but do we know if he's really gonna be a better player than Kruger?

Oh yeah and one more thing, Beach is kicking ass for The Rock this year. There may be hope for that boy yet...

Yeah Brunette has been the weak link in the forward lines for sure and even he hasnt been god awful.

2nd and 3rd lines are untouchable right now in my opinion. Obviously slumps and injuries could change that any time, but I dont see Turris as an improvement right now.

So if it's Brunette that would be replaced - he's only on a 1 year deal anyways - is Turris the guy or is there a better option? Management clearly showed that they're not into giving out big or even moderately sized deals to non-core guys. Is Turris the guy you want to give a few mil for a year or two, let alone the guy you want to give up some players and picks for?

NO WAY I want to break up Bolland and Bickell. Those two guys know one another, they know the other guy's game, they play well together. DO NOT break up that line. Stick anyone else out there with them, but Bolland and Bickell need to stay together.

Does Kane even enjoy playing Center or is he doing it for the good of the team?

I feel like its a little too early in the season to be offering players we just got this offseason(players who are supposed to bring the cup back to Chicago) for this Turris kid. I mean, we are off to a great start this year, much much improved over last year. Brunette is adjusting to his new role, give him some time. The veterans on this team will pay off big time towards the end of the season.

He's also 38 son. The guy looks done.

You can't say a guy looks done 8 games into the season. He's solid for at least 40+ points this year. Hes been nothing but consistent his entire career. That's what the hawks signed him for. That's what the hawks need.

:yep:

To me it seems like Turris was asking for the ridiculous amount for 2 reasons.

1. The Coyotes would not pay it and they would trade him.
2. The Coyotes would be dumb enough to pay it and he is grossly overpaid and rich!

Yeah, he's wayyyy pissed of how he's been used in the organization.

There have been rumors out there that the Blackhawks are interested.

I'm still not really high on him, but he does have some skill and obvious potential.

No idea on the asking price.

can I get a link please?

Eklund? Well then it has to be true then.... (ow, I think I sprained my eyeballs in an eyeroll).

I still think Eklund has SOMETHING...he did break the buff trade 2 summers ago

but I wouldn't go off his word alone...99% of the stuff he pulls up is garbage and fake
