Wait...people still watch boxing? Are you guys Special person?

Professional Boxing is like that old used up porn star that was your favorite at one time. Sure, it was awesome when it was younger but now it's just stagnant, inflated and sadly not very entertaining anymore.

Anybody who will dish out money for a payperview boxing match needs to be shot in the face. I'd rate it right next to watching golf or nascar.

Although I wouldn't pay for PPV, I would rather watch Pac/Mayweather or golf than just about any regular season NFL game that doesn't involve the Bears.

you people man i swear

Because Floyd has stayed in the limelight while Manny is busy helping making his country's government better.

Serious Question: Is there a league for boxing? Or are boxers independent contractors?

You'd think that with all the concussion stuff going around and the lawsuits against the NFL/NHL that no organization would get behind giant men punching each other in the head.

???

Really? I know you're a young person, but really??

boxing is the most rigorous sport to train for mentally and physically..they literally train all year round...the struggle to make weight is depressing..they literally drain every ounce of sweat out of them the morning of the weigh in..their workouts are documented and recorded

and you think they do all of this for a predetermined outcome?

No matter how much they train for their matches, Boxing is a very corrupt sport and I'm sorry to break this to you.

It's not every fight, but hey, carry on young man.

Boxing is easy the most corrupt sport around, I'm not sure why you're so interested in splitting hairs here. But hey, carry on.

the judges can be had and make bogus calls and are questioned..but when was the last time two fighters got in the ring and said hey lets throw this? what was the last fixed fight sir?

Large aspects of the governing bodies have had corruption, yes. It is not predetermined, generally. Maybe in some seedy underground smokey venue where fighters train after they get off from their day jobs and some seedy guy with a cigar and a long coat tells you take a dive in an overpronounced Brooklyn accent. World class boxing bouts are generally legit competitive fights.

Let me re-write this, since you seemingly missed it. I haven't watched a boxing match since the Lennox Lewis vs Evander Hollyfield fight back in like 1994 or so. That fight was the last straw for me.

To get into more details of the corruption though, just look at the rankings and how that's all done. It's not about throwing fake punches like you're trying to say that I'm saying(which I never did say).

Get rid of the promoters and shit, then maybe this "sport" will have a chance to make a comeback.
