I'm not sure parity would really help the NBA right now. Some of the smaller markets seem so disinterested in their teams that contraction may suit the league better than relocation.

I'm honestly in favor of shrinking the league, then stars are more condensed to certain teams and that itself creates a better NBA.

Other than Charlotte, I wouldnt really know who to get rid of at this point. I suppose the NBA could completely exit Canada (As players have trouble wanting to ever play there), and while the Clippers are good now, they have been historically horrible for pretty much their entire existence. Minnesota is a team I'd be in favor of eliminating too (even though they have potential).

How the hell are you going to institute parity in a sport where 2 guys can make a huge impact?

lol@this...

this doesnt stop tanking...it just makes better teams(meaning fringe playoff teams) want to tank

tanking is just a byproduct of the draft...i mean half the teams that tank in the NBA are pretty terrible to begin...and alot of people dont really care to watch(what drives the NBA ratings are the playoffs obviously..not the regular season)

were the other picks of this hypothetical draft "theory" even addressed? like do the 2nd,3rd,4th picks change?
