OT: My wife and I lost our son on Wednesday; prayers needed

This is entirely off topic, but I really don't give a ****.

I haven't even been on these boards that long and don't really "know" any of you, but I just needed to get away from family for a minute and vent this into the ether.

Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I went into her 39-week exam, thinking that in the next day or so we'd be going through labor.

Shockingly, our doctors could not find a heartbeat, and it was discovered that our son passed away sometime within the day or two previously.

Needless to say, our world was obliterated in an instant.

Later that night, we delivered our son via cesarean and were able to spend some time with him - easily the most gut-wrenching thing I've ever experienced.

I took my wife home from the hospital this morning, and I just wanted to take a quick minute to please ask for your prayers and to keep my family in your thoughts.

Also, if you have children, please hug them extra tighter tonight.

You're lucky to have them.

I am really sorry for your loss. My sister had a similar experience where she lost it and they induced it out stillborn. Just a horrible experience.

I am so sorry for your life. Early last year my wife and I lost our twins after few months of pregnancy. Then my mother in law passed away two months later then my 21 yo son my closest of all passed away on Nov 19 late last year . Receiving the call from my other son. I know your pain. Honestly I cry every day. I pray my rosary daily and have my private praying for him each nite. It is the worst experience any parent can't imagine. I am not going to tell you how long it takes or be strong. I will just say that I will dedicate my prayer at night. Not only for my losses but yours. May God bring you comfort and may you be allowed to vent and mourn. Talking to people constantly about it for me helps me for a moment. Sorry I don't have the words of encouragement but I'm there with you. Tell your wife I am sorry for her as well.
