This is entirely off topic, but I really don't give a ****.

I haven't even been on these boards that long and don't really "know" any of you, but I just needed to get away from family for a minute and vent this into the ether.

Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I went into her 39-week exam, thinking that in the next day or so we'd be going through labor.

Shockingly, our doctors could not find a heartbeat, and it was discovered that our son passed away sometime within the day or two previously.

Needless to say, our world was obliterated in an instant.

Later that night, we delivered our son via cesarean and were able to spend some time with him - easily the most gut-wrenching thing I've ever experienced.

I took my wife home from the hospital this morning, and I just wanted to take a quick minute to please ask for your prayers and to keep my family in your thoughts.

Also, if you have children, please hug them extra tighter tonight.

You're lucky to have them.

Incredibly sorry for loss ! I couldn't imagine the sorrow you and your wife are feeling! Prayers with you and your family :(

I believe God has a plan for everything. He wouldn't put you and your wife in this situation if he knew you couldn't overcome your loss. My family will pray for you and yours. You and your wife should pray because God will give you all the answers. I hope these words will comfort you and yours.

I usually don't pray a lot, but I did pray for you and your wife to have a little peace and healing in your lives.

Wow, what a terrible story. It's really confusing why things like that happen. I'll pray for your family and will genuinely have you guys in my thoughts for a while.

My prayers are with you and your wife at this time. Words cannot explain what you're truly going through right now. After going through a similar experience a couple years ago where my wife had a miscarriage I can somewhat relate. Be strong for each other. We are blessed to have our 3 little girls but always carry with us the memory of the baby we lost. What got us through was knowing that God must've had a plan and needed our baby for something bigger and that someday we'll see them in a better place.

So sorry to hear this news. My wife and I had a few miscarriages, but eventually had twins, a boy and a girl, they're 11 now. What you're going through is so much worse, really sucks, thoughts and prayers headed your way for you and yours.
