This is entirely off topic, but I really don't give a ****.

I haven't even been on these boards that long and don't really "know" any of you, but I just needed to get away from family for a minute and vent this into the ether.

Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I went into her 39-week exam, thinking that in the next day or so we'd be going through labor.

Shockingly, our doctors could not find a heartbeat, and it was discovered that our son passed away sometime within the day or two previously.

Needless to say, our world was obliterated in an instant.

Later that night, we delivered our son via cesarean and were able to spend some time with him - easily the most gut-wrenching thing I've ever experienced.

I took my wife home from the hospital this morning, and I just wanted to take a quick minute to please ask for your prayers and to keep my family in your thoughts.

Also, if you have children, please hug them extra tighter tonight.

You're lucky to have them.

I'm really sorry to hear this and hope and pray that you and your wife will be blessed with a child when the time is right. Keep your head up and stay as positive as you possibly can at this time and everything will come together for you and your wife.

I'm so sorry. My wife is 31 weeks and we are expecting our first child in may and I know the pain you are going through is difficult. Our prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family. Be strong for your wife cause she's gonna need your support. God bless.

Very sorry, I went through something very similar. You can reach out to the folks that run this site for support for both you and your wife, we used them and support their walk every year (albeit from out of state now). It's a very surreal feeling, I'm very sorry for you and your wife's loss. Praying for you friend.

It would be great if every member said something encouraging to this member who is obviously going through a horrible time. We should all show him some love to maybe help him through this. This goes to show how insignificant the sport of football is in the grand scheme of things but at least it can give us an opportunity to help someone in need. Please try and make an effort for our fellow fan!!!!!

You and your wife will be in my prayers, and I wish you guys nothing but the best through all of this. I lost my 6 year old son less than a year ago and the pain that comes with it is gut wrenching. The biggest advice I can give you is do everything and anything to memorialize him. I dedicate everything I do to my son and will continue until the day I die.

Stay strong friend. You will never forget nor should you, but the pain will eventually subside.
