Bad choice. The other 3+ syllable teams all have easy short colloquialisms, like Bucs, Pats, Cards, Niners. Nothing stands out to me as an obvious shortened version here, except maybe setting themselves up to be the "Commies"

I was partial to Warthogs. But Commanders is pretty whack if that's what it is. And if Jason Wright really did leak the logo a month ago, that sucks too(I've seen it) DC is not even a port city. They don't even play in DC, or practice for that matter. 2 years on "Commanders" with the same old colors is a joke IMO.

Also if I remember correctly, the actual name on the new logo is longer like Washington DC Football Commanders The Peoples Team or something like that. I can say "Football Commanders" is better than Commanders but I do feel like they failed yet again with their fanbase.

Also, no one local here is happy with any of their final three choices. Admirals sucks, There are no Red Wolves here and Commanders is meh.

Because a trivial game doesn't need to name teams after an entire race or culture. Why not? It would help educate the older football fans to the proper way of referring to a Native American.

Pick one that isn't being used, looks decent as a logo, and name your team after it.

If you choose one that is endangered and create a partner charity, people like you off the bat for being good towards animals.
