My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
The Jets were on their way to being annual contenders with the Defense they had. They made a mistake by blowing their load on Aaron Rodgers, who single-handedly destroyed the team.
Annual contenders? Like the Chiefs Bills Ravens?

Doesn’t exactly refute the claim of them being a bad franchise.

Wonder if they're going to pass on Sanders now. Winston, Wilson and Tommy Cutlets are already signed.
Seems they don't want Sanders, and I don't blame them.
They can get a top talent at 3 if they pass on Shedeur, or they may be able to trade down a bit and still get someone they target.

But that seems to be giving too much credit to their clueless GM.

Good QBs make it good.
Lack of good QBs makes it trash.
And exactly how does he know which QB is good or trash right now? Have you seen any of them play in the nfl yet? Biff swore that the Lawerence class was a good class but so far the “best” QB of that class has been mediocre

I would guess that when a team who is quarterback needy and is sitting at number three in the draft decides instead to sign two washed free agent quarterbacks, that would be an indication that they at least believe it’s not a good quarterback draft.

They either don’t like the second best quarterback, or believe both teams ahead of them are drafting quarterback, which would be very hard to believe.

So while we can say, we don’t “absolutely know in advance“ that this will be a trash quarterback draft, we can say one thing: nobody can name with certainty who the fourth quarterback in this class will be, and no one can really bet heavily on the third.

The general consensus is that the best quarterback in this draft would not be in the top 51 year ago. I guess to me that would be an indication of good quarterback draft versus trash quarterback draft.

Heyward on Rodgers: Either you want to be a Steeler or you don't

PITTSBURGH -- Cameron Heyward isn't joining Aaron Rodgers on a darkness retreat anytime soon.

The longtime Pittsburgh Steelers defensive captain said on his "Not Just Football" podcast Tuesday that he's not going to great lengths to recruit the four-time MVP to sign with the Steelers.

"I ain't doing that darkness retreat," Heyward said, responding to a question from co-host Hayden Walsh on whether he'd go into the dark with Rodgers to land the quarterback's services. "I don't need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't. It's that simple. That's the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that's the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers. If you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don't, no skin off my back."

The tone matched that of new Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf, who said last week it wasn't his role to recruit quarterbacks to Pittsburgh.

"This is a historic organization," Metcalf said. "They've done the recruiting before I even got here, so whoever wants to come here and try to win as many games as we can, they can join us. But if not, good luck on the other side."
He’s now cleaning up these statements, so I’m guessing Aaron told Steelers management to have a talk with the guy :ROFLMAO:

“PITTSBURGH -- A week after seemingly less-than-enthusiastic comments about the prospect of quarterback Aaron Rodgers coming to Pittsburgh, Steelers defensive captain Cameron Heyward clarified his stance on the four-time MVP.

"It was misconstrued," Heyward said on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" on Wednesday morning. "I was asked a question, 'Would you go to the lengths of going to a darkness retreat to recruit Aaron Rodgers.' I said, 'I'm not doing that. The pitch is, if you want to be a Steeler, be a Steeler.' That's all it was. It wasn't that I don't like Aaron Rodgers or I'm against it.

"When I look at our team right now, it would be really cool to have a guy like Aaron Rodgers. But I can't be the guy who gets it over the finish line. He's got to make those decisions for himself. I'm excited to see what happens."”

Out of curiosity, why did you create an entirely new thread about Justin and the Jets when this thread was already here having a great discussion about it? Just curious, that’s all 🤷‍♂️😆
