I don't like the death penalty. Not because I think that these guys don't deserve to die.. but because I think we're giving them an easy way out. They cause a bunch of pain an suffering.... then their life is ended by putting them to sleep with drugs, then killing them with drugs. Or you hang them, shoot them, send them to the chair and end their life in a minute or less.

I'm for putting these people in solitary confinement for the rest of their life. In a very small room with maybe a bed. No windows. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction to even see some sunlight. Give them 1, maybe 2 meals a day. They won't be wasting much energy, so they won't need a lot of food. Now that would be hell... which they deserve.

I can understand the thinking of not giving them the easy way out, and I could possibly be fine with it if I knew they were truly suffering for the rest of their lives. But I think if someone is as sick in the head as them, than being incarcerated isn't going to be punishment for them. Prison and solitary confinement would be effective punishment for someone who would have remorse for what they did. Anyone that can do what they did isn't going to feel much if any remorse.

Hm, I didn't even know about supermax prisons. I just looked it up. But even in those, the prisoners are allowed out of their cells for an hour a day to exercise and whatnot. And they still get "minimum outside contact."

but to make my scenario worse, or better depending on how you wanna look at it, the only human contact these people will have would be severe daily beatings... And their arms would be confined so they can't kill themselves easily. If they wanna die, they'll have to bash their heads against the wall.

Or we can just make them live in Detroit. That would be pretty bad.

The only problem with daily beating and forcing them to live in Detroit is that there are a group of people that will protest against this because it is cruel and unusual punishment.

The reality of this, is if they are caught alive, they won't get the death penalty and will be sentenced to life without parole. Get 3 square meals a day, most likely in solitary.

Well, yeah. psychopaths don't feel remorse for anything they have done. They could still be sane though... as in, they aren't delusional and they don't see/hear things. They can function normally and think logically. They just don't feel anything for anyone but themselves. But just because they don't feel anything for anyone doesn't mean that they don't enjoy the same things we all enjoy. There are a lot of psychopaths out there that never kill anyone because they don't want to end up in prison. They don't FEEL that killing people is wrong, they just know it is because it's against the law.

Let's use Ted Bundy as an example. This dude raped and killed like, what, over 100 women? He was on death row... spent most of his time in a jail cell, but was still allowed to interact with other inmates, exercise, go to the library, eat meals regularly, etc. Hell, they even gave the guy one final interview before they killed him so they can listen to him talk about how he blamed porn for everything he did. Was he upset about dying? Probably, because he loved himself. But taking away all the privileges before his death probably would have been worse, imo.
