I can understand people perfering one over the other. Cubs were more dominate in my family, but never recall hearing true hatred toward the Soxs. When they played, Cubs were rooted for, but at the end of the day, Sox still ='s Chicago too. So its idiotic to despise one or the other. Granted neither are powerhouses, but damn, for those that love the game, thats double the games to watch! If we had 2 NFL Teams... :fap: :fap: :fap:

We did have 2 NFL teams, but then nobody watched the 2nd and they moved and nobody cared.

Proud to be wrong. Not that I watch Baseball, but they represent my Hometown.

That's cool, but even you yourself just admitted that you barely watch baseball...

I love Chicago. It's dumb to hate a team from the city. One is NL, one is AL. They play six times a year. Other than those games, there is no "rivalry". Hating one or the other serves no purpose.

And that's your opinion. Now that you have come out of the closet as a Cubs fan, of course you have to have this opinion, otherwise you would lose all credibility.

I'm also sad that you took down your Aaron Rodgers sig... I thought you might be flip-flopping with the Packers as well. We could always use another fan on the site!

Rooting for both sides is just wrong.

And your point? I dont watch the Fire either, or Blackhawks, or any other sport for that matter. I only love Football. But that doesnt mean I wouldnt support my Hometown teams. Its a far worse tragedy to be supporting a team from another city than ones Hometown.

I wasnt alive to see the Cardinals in Chicago lol Wasnt that back in the 40s or some shit?

Think they moved in the 50s? I'll check...

Ya, I was sorta right, their last season in Chicago was '59.

I didn't see them either, I was born in '95. :(

Also missed the ABA, USFL, AFL, WFL, WHA, NASL, etc.

My point is that to me, since you don't care about baseball, your opinion about the Cubs/Sox question doesn't hold much validity to me.

Are those of you who are saying you shouldn't like both teams the same ones who say it's not a rivalry?

Because I'm guessing if someone said "I grew up in San Diego but I've lived in Chicago for a long time" and they liked both the Padres and the White Sox, it wouldn't bother you.

I never said it wasn't a rivalry, but I still take Chicago #1 over the rest of the league. San Diego can suck it.

What does talking about liking both the Cubs and Sox have to do with being a Packer fan vs a Bears fan? I could understand if I liked both the Packers and the Bears, but there is nothing hypocritical about my statements. I don't see me liking both teams, nor do I see myself flip-flopping.

Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing!

Fixed that for you.

You're just mad that I generally ignore you because you are a fucking creep who asks people to post their pics, and their girlfriend pics, and whatever else it is that you jack off to.

Fucking creep.

It depends on what you define as a rivalry. I don't think it is a rivalry on the field, but I believe it is off the field.

And yup, that scenario wouldn't bother me. But if you root for the Cubs and the Sox it seems entirely unnatural for me. Kind of similar to a dude liking a dude. Unnatural.
