Is it their owners? Cause I hate their owners because they seemed to have lied about keeping the team in Seattle and I feel sorry for the city of Seattle yet I like the players and that seems to win out over my hate of the Clay Bennett and the owners.

I think its because my friend and I have a bet that in the next 5 years Westbrook would be on the all-star team. I have 300 that he wont.

I would like to see the Thunder get the pick as I'm a big fan of Durant and Griffin and would like to see if they would start Griffin, Green and Durant. And simply as fan of basketball that would be fun to watch.

I don't know why some are assuming if the T'Wolves get the first pick they won't take Griffin or trade Love if they do. They would take Griffin and keep Love. Love would just come off the bench as they'd be fools to trade Love unless they could pick up another high lottery pick they really covet, but if they didn't Griffin, Love and Jefferson which would give them one of the best big man rotations in the league for years to come besides Griffin has so much athleticism he could probably develop into SF if they wanted him to and start all 3.

Great point in keeping all three at least for 1 year, but after that none of those players will want to come off the bench so they would have to trade someone, unless of course they turn Griffin into a 3. He is athletic enough but he would have to improve his jumper a lot and his range, so I don't know about the 3 for Griffin. But yah they probably wouldn't trade any of there big men this year.

I want the Knicks to get it because they promised to draft Stephen Curry in the 1st round.

Well let's see. They got our boy Thabo and he was actually decent for awhile. Lastly, they should still be in Seattle! I can't imagine any other team in the other leagues moving from Seattle to Oklahoma. It's like dumping Halle Berry for Raven Simone. Craziness.

The Sonics didn't have a brand new arena, but they had a reasonably good level of success over the years. If they had just bided time with that team, Durant would help get an arena built.

They should be scorned and ridiculed.

I want the Clippers or Wolves to get that pick. They both would have an excess of big men, and we could swing a trade and get something from the crew of Kaman, Camby, Randolph or Love and Jefferson.

I like the Wolves or the Kings to get it. The Wolves would be really interesting... Could they swing another trade? And after we ripped the Kings in the Salmons-trade I just think the Kings should get something back.
I don't want the Knicks to get it, I just don't want them to get anything handed to them.

Suns or Wolves.

If the Suns land #1, they are taking Griffin, no doubt about it. That would free up Amare in a trade....something that might benefit the Bulls.

If the Wolves land the pick, again, I think they take Griffin, even though the need at PG is high. IMO, they trade Jefferson for a PG. Hmm....Jefferson for hinrich/expirings/picks?

If Suns got the #1 we certainly would then have a good shot at Amare but Minnesota is interesting as well. I think however that Love would be the one on the block not Jefferson. Could we get Love for Hinrich and something else and in turn save some money in order to get Gordon back? What kind of deal would it take to get Love? They would need backcourt help.

Durant would have helped get an arena built? It was all about the local government up in Seattle, not so much the fans. Seattle has been on the verge on loosing their other professional teams in the last 10-15 years because the local governement wants so much money from the franchises.

I don't understand the hate of Seattle loosing a team, it's not like the NBA doesn't have other teams that have moved....

LA got the Lakers from Minnesota
Utah got their team from New Orleans
New Orleans got their team from Charlotte
Sacremento got their team from KC(which I went to KC games as a boy)
Memphis got their team from Vancover
Clippers were in Buffalo and San Diago
Atlanta was in Milwaulkee and St.Loui
San Antonio's franchise came from Dallas
Golden State Warriors started as the Philadelphia Warriors
The Wizards... started as the Chicago Packers, went to Baltimore then headed out to Washington.

It's nothing new people. 11 of the 30 NBA teams originated somewhere other then where they reside now. It's just a part of buisness, the only difference this time, the amount of media you can now get through the internet by really anyone.

If you want to be mad, be mad at Howard Schultz for selling the Sonics to a group looking to move a team to Oklahoma City... He had been trying to sell to a local group but nobody was willing to take on a team loosing money in Seattle. And if you ever believed that Bennett didn't want to move the team then I guess you also believe these other groups who were willing to loose money in Seattle that popped up after the team was sold.

Hard to believe that in this day and age that people still stereotype cities without knowing much about them.

Although I lost my local team 25 years ago, I hope Sacremento gets the #1 pick. If Oklahoma were to get the #1 pick... you'd have to really start wondering about the NBA draft being fixed(even with OKC having a good shot at winning it). Cleveland(although they were horrible) won it with local boy Lebron the favorite, Chicago won it with local boy Rose the favorite and now.... Oklahoma with a shot with local boy Griffin as the favorite? Just too many local teams winning the #1 pick in too recent of memory.

Boston not getting Duncan and getting the 5th pick in 07'? I don't know if its fixed....but cleveland winning the lottery in 03' will probably be what saved that franchise. They were in the toilet at that stage.

I didnt see this mentioned at all, but I think we can all agree:

"Please god, do not let the Knicks win the lottery. We don't need that kinda sh*t right now."

I'd like to see the Bucks win it to save basketball in Milwaukee.

But I think the Thunder will get #1 and take Griffin, then the Knicks at #2 who take Rubio, and then the Kings at #3.
