"You can't miss this. This is history for us as Hawks fans. Maybe it legitimizes all those years of bad hockey. Maybe it just gives us a championship - something we haven't had for a long time."



As Kelly and Greenwald walked the crowded concourses before Game 6, they usually stuck with buddies Jason Falkinham and Jack Goldberg from Beach Park just in case Flyers fans did more than cuss at them.

Thanks! I was actually able to still find some of the Heralds out there. Should have thought of those at the airport!!! Although I'm not sure there was a LOT of thinking going on today except for what happened last night.



We'll holler at you tomorrow. Looks like it'll be the train down there arriving at about 9 probably.



What a great ride it's been and tomorrow will be just a continuation!

Just got back in town a couple hours ago, watching the game now. Absolutely the best decision I ever made in my life going to Philly for this game. What a whirlwind 24 hours. It feels like 3 weeks ago I woke up at 4:30 am to start my trek to O'hare, but it was just yesterday. Trip was off to a great start when I got to finally meet RK, albeit very briefly, while boarding the plane.



Got into town, checked into the Ritz, went and got a cheesesteak then waited for gametime. We had a group of 8, had an amazing time. My seats were in Section 216, on the corner in the end where they presented the Cup. Wore my Kane jersey despite warnings from so many people. SO glad I did! Met some cool Flyers fans and some assholes. But even the assholes were all talk so it didn't bother me. Took some great video of the game, especially some video of flyers fans giving me shit while walking the concourse. I'll post the videos here, I'm uploading them now.



I was the first person in my section to realize Kane scored. It was really weird how quiet the place was, not a single sound in the building which is something you NEVER hear. Hawks fans and Flyers fans in stone silence for 5-10 seconds, it was surreal.



After the game we partied till 6:30 at the hotel, hopped on plane this afternoon. Words can't describe how amazing it was to be there in person.



Best part was the hour or so after the game when the players stayed on the ice celebrating.

This was pre-game. But, after the game many Flyers fans came up and offered handshakes and congrats. There were a couple that yelled shit from a far, but there was only one guy who went over the line with it....some moron who had his face painted who was screaming at our group to shut the **** up as we were leaving and we just turned and laughed at him en masse. Tough guy + clearly about to cry = LOL.

Haha. The handshakes are cool though. I would not be able to do that unless I had previously talked to the opposing fan or new them, and I'd still shun them under my breath.
