So I would love it if the US could get millions of manufacturing jobs back from China, but I am MORE concerned about how fucking stupid and ugly those uniforms look. They look like a bunch of French models. Ralph Lauren can suck my ass, cause that shit is ***!
Yep, I want them burned too. but not cause they were made in china.

THIS CANNOT STAND! This is a slap in the face of America, Apple Pie, and 5 lb cheeseburgers. This is an indictment of the status of the world and the US's emerging place in it all. I for one will ponder and lose sleep over... Um... Over...the ah...

Scrolling...

Olympic Clothing Manufacturing?!

Well shit...

Who remembers the controversy over US Army black berets being made in China? I do! I was part of the first group that had to wear them.

Hell, my powder blue AA beret was made in Taiwan way back in the early '90's. Replacement BDU's were made in Mexico at that time too.

Would it really be that difficult to find a little shop that makes clothes here? It would be a big boost to that company, and a feel good story all around.

With the way things are, here is what you do.......

Every odd year, you have a reality show where people compete to make the Olympic uniforms. That way you have the lazy Americans watching shit on tv that is dumb, and they get to vote on what they think is good, and you have Americans making the uniforms and maybe getting a boost to their business or helping them get their business going.

I just read an article where Ralph Lauren promises the 2014 uniforms will be manufactured in the U S.

Why the outrage? This is capitalism and the US loves capitalism, right?

Is your little Navy outfit made in the USA?

You would think they would make the military uniforms in the USA. If for no other reason to avoid a scandal.

maybe the labor unions have made it too expensive to make his clothing in the US......

And the labor force shouldn't be allowed to unionize? How does that sit into the free marker ideology? But yeah, poor multi-billion dollar corporation getting bled dry by those pesky unions wanting a fair compensation for their work, it's totally understandable for them to use sweatshops in third world countries.

Hey I'm not against unions, but that is probably why Ralph doesn't make it here. Ralph has an empire to worry about. Don't kill the messenger.....

I recall there being some folks saying "wtf", but it wasn't like this deal, as Canada is like America Jr. We also aren't in debt to Canada to the tune of trillions, there's no threat from Canada to attack the U.S., and there aren't human rights violations up the ying yang in Canada.

I don't know why they have to wear those goofy hats anyway. Don't they know all hats, with the exception of baseball caps are a mistake?

Probably one of the best comments in this thread.
