Like I said, Bears offense was not playoff worthy.

15 points because of a missed kick vs 18 because of a made kick is a special teams issue. Not an offensive issue. Therefore, you can't blindly say that the offense was better or in your words "less awful" because of a made kick. The offense is the offense either way.

Ok so then let's just say 15 and 18 are both really awful or both just awful. It makes no difference to my point as neither point total is good offense. You here worrying about whether it is classified as awful or really awful when the overriding point is that it was not good or even average offense.

Of course it does. You can advance by playing good O or good D or some combination therein. See teams like KC, NE, Rams who all scored 30 or more points to advance to NFC and AFC championship games.

Ya'll talked about how the Eagles D was playing well towards the end of the season in making excuses for the Bears. Well the Bears offense sputtered to the finish line. Last 5 games including the WC, they averaged 18.4 points or 8 points less than their 26.4 average. That is not playoff worthy offense.

I really don't get why people want to pretend like the Bears offense was some great offensive juggernaut. They had some high scores early in the season but were quite pedestrian at the end of the season. I noted this several times but people ignored it because we were still winning because of the D.

Ah, so they were struggling down the stretch for 5 straight games as you noted. Then, they struggled in the 1st playoff game. Yet, somehow, someway, they were gonna go on the road where they struggled even more on offense and beat the 2 best teams in the NFC. Got it.

Lol, 24 points is not destroying anyone on offense. Yeah and scored 14 against Niners, 23, against Pack and 15 against Rams. Hence the 18 point average. They were not consistently scoring 20+ towards the end of the season so no you can't call it a one off when they scored 14 or 15 3 out of the last 5 weeks.

Lol, 24 points is not destroying anyone on offense. Yeah and scored 14 against Niners, 23, against Pack and 15 against Rams. Hence the 18 point average. They were not consistently scoring 20+ towards the end of the season so no you can't call it a one off when they scored 14 or 15 3 out of the last 5 weeks.

Ah, so they were struggling down the stretch for 5 straight games as you noted. Then, they struggled in the 1st playoff game. Yet, somehow, someway, they were gonna go on the road where they struggled even more on offense and beat the 2 best teams in the NFC. Got it.

Yes I don't think Gurley and Anderson put up 250 yards on our D and Goff was nothing special. And as we saw with the Saints, their O is not unbeatable. They also scored 23 and 24 during that 5 game run and yes I do think 23 and 24 could have beaten the Saints and Rams. Hence why 15 is so disappointing. We didn't need much on O.

He is ridiculous. With his logic, we can't be happy we had a good season and exceeded expectations because we "blew a chance at the Super Bowl." Yet, the offense didn't just have a bad game, it struggled for several games according to him. Somehow though, he expected, no demanded them to turn it around against the best teams in the NFL.

This dude would never be happy unless we won the superbowl like the 85 Bears did in dominating fashion. Even then, he would find something to complain about like Payton not scoring.
