My favorite new CCS thing is Ms Adows completely flipping everything he's said the past couple of years.

also, Fields being just "Okay" would be a fucking disaster for this franchise. They need good, not okay.

Didn't Ms Sadows actually want The BYU guy at all costs ?

The roster really isn't in bad shape. We are slightly above average. Also, if Fields proves to be a solid QB, it changes the draft approach. Teams move up to get QBs. I could easily see Pace becoming a trade back guy stock piling picks in the mid rounds and seeing how he does.

Ryan Pace needed hail mary in the draft for this to resemble a plan and he completed it.

Without Fields this is a team treading water, but he landed Fields and changed the trajectory.
You lose some, you win some. I'd say he was due, LOL.

It will be a nice change of pace (pun intended) not having to discuss what it's going to cost the Bears to move up for a QB. Hopefully for the next decade plus.

Not above average on offense.

We could probably agree the team overperformed last season with such a shitty offense (calls, tackles, QB play, and WR depth execution beyond ARob & Mooney).

Seems they've addressed 3 of the 4. There were many open WRs who never saw the ball, much less in stride or while open. Even Red Rocket improves this til Fields hits it.

I'll even say that Fields has the leverage to call out Nagy if he delivers shit plays and poorly timed plays. He won't be dog-housed like Riley Ridley or fired like Nagy's assistants often are.

Reason for tempered optimism at least.

If Fields is a Franchise QB, does the team around him have enough talent to win a championship or not?

In general, I say yes, therefore I think Pace has done a good job.

We have a few weak links in the roster and a couple of unknown positions (LT, nickel) but overall, IF Fields is the Man to run the offense, and he does it well, then there is no doubt in my mind that we could compete for a title.

Just my 2 cents

Hard to argue against the offense being below average, However, they now have the potential to be above average with the talent Pace has started to put in place. Kmet, Monty, Robinson (not drafted I know), Jenkins and Fields to go along with other average or better players.

Still am a Pace hater. Fields falling into his lap(and by lap i mean still having to trade up with multiple picks) shouldn't exonerate him from over a half a decade of suck.
So good then you know that one of my FU's is to you as well.

Thanks

That's really too bad. After the past couple years of calling you a Special person and proving how dumb you are, I was really hoping it wasn't towards me. DARN!

Its hard to change our opinions. It goes against human nature. Even when presented with facts to the contrary, we typically find reasons to support our original hypothesis instead of changing our mind. Life is easier that way.

If Fields works out, Pace is going to get a few more years to prove his worth here in Chicago. If Fields is a stud, Pace could be here for quite some time.

Most ppl here did a 180 on Pace in one month. Most wanted him canned after Russell Wilson didn't happen.

It's knee jerk around here. That's my point. Posters are counting eggs that haven't hatched on offense.

I would love for someone to present facts that would prove me wrong about what i've been saying about Pace for years.
