Pace got very lucky Fields fell, that wasn't a part of his "plan"... The stars aligned and the only credit he gets from me is he convinced his directors on allowing him to trade assets to move up. If Fields works out, he's cemented himself for a few more years at least.

I've got a feeling this is going down like the Jim Henry days for the Cubs. Pace is making big, splashy moves, but the team continuity suffers.

Pace spends $100 to make $20.

I think Pace has gotten very lucky throughout his career, and just barely have those few monumental breaks allowed him to overcome himself.

I'm open to see what happens, I always said he was a young idiot and had hope to mature.

That's really too bad. After the past couple years of calling you a Special person and proving how dumb you are, I was really hoping it wasn't towards me. DARN!

Pace and nagy should have been fired but luckily they had that 6 game losing streak that saved their asses
We might be lucky the organization made the poor decision to keep them on because a new crew might not have the sense of urgency to go up and get fields

They can't.

You've been right about a lot of stuff - so you get called a "troll."
Except the difference between you and Anytime is that he thinks this team can be good with Fields and is positive about it. You just constantly whine doom and gloom.

I would love for someone to present facts that would prove me wrong about what i've been saying about Pace for years.
Here is where I am at it.

Pace addressed some glaring issues that have crippled him in the past

-He landed a consensus top draft QB who has played in big games and in big moments.
-He addressed the OL

Does that excuse the horrendous 2020 free agency period, his backloading and void years spending spree, his flippant regard for draft pick volume, or his struggles to add offensive difference makers? No, but it buys him a chance to fix some of his other issues.

Can he get his cap in order?
Can he transfer money and resources to the offesnse?
Can he get younger and cheaper on defense without getting significantly worse?

We will see, but Fields buys him a chance.
