I have no problem with her response to the douche bags that trashed her. I thought it was a classy response.
I have a daughter.
I'd hope she would chose a profession that would not objectify her appearance and body type in a way that cheerleading does; however, if she did, she would have thick enough skin and the common sense to know that with this kind of profession nasty discouraging comments come with the territory. I would make sure of that.
People weren't saying those mean things with sincerity because she was really ugly, or they disliked her. They were saying them strictly because she was wearing the green and gold.
My daughter would be smart enough to know just that, and I would of made it very clear to her that stuff like this happens when you go in to a profession that puts you in a position to have people root against you. Even if she is only a cheerleader. NFL fans are hostile beings.
This chick is either overly sensitive, or seeking attention, which she has received. Using the bullying excuse when there is real bullying happening is lame. It's like crying wolf, or racism in an instance where it isn't called for. There is an 11 year old in a coma from bullying. To say that what happened to this woman, is even remotely close to as serious, or on par as what happened here: http://gma.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/bullying-attack-leaves-11-old-coma-213221930--abc-news-topstories.html is ridiculous.
But, she got her 5 seconds of fame, and I'm giving attention to someone and a situation that I think is completely foolish.
I also have no issue with her response to the douche bags but I do feel it was a bit over dramatic. I just feel that this is not news worthy material and for it to be posted on multiple news websites is just absurd.
culp, sorry, I didn't realize your link was to the same story I posted.
schmidtaki, stop bullying the bears.
That's a pretty sad story actually. Kids are the worst bullies, but they learn that shit from their parents!

I agree. Things that have been said to my daughter just to have the other kids parents get mad at the school for disciplining him and pulling him out of school make me lose hope for humanity.

She is an AMERICAN HERO, deserving of this publicity much more than say the thousands of service members deployed away from their loved ones fighting in foreign countries. How dare you say otherwise!! Don't you understand... she was called names... on the interwebs,,, by strangers!!!!
I DEMAND a COMPLETE investigation by the FBI so we can lock these terrorists up once and for all!
Have you ever noticed(appart for this one time) I don't respond to anything you post ... So keep doing what you do, but don't quote me, cause I won't respond.
Hey RTB can I hire you to white knight for me when Rory and FT show up and start cyber-bullying today??
I actually enjoy reading what those 2 have to say, especially when you engage them with long winded none sense post. I don't always agree with them, but I almost never agree with you. So that would be a hell NO!
Or Jay Cutler is bullied on this board!
