Do pulled groins usually recover fast or no?

Depends, I once pulled my groin during football season and I didn't sit out any games, but it did take a couple weeks before the pain was completely gone, obviously there are probably more severe cases.

Also, it's lucky that he's a pitcher, because time off of it is what is really best for it, and with the 6 man rotation I bet he might not even miss a start.

WTF are you talking about? you are fucking comparing a pitcher who had one good season to a pitcher that has pitched multiple seasons. Hell one could say Prior actually only pitched one season with his 200 innings ONCE. Arguement? there is no arguement here. This is black and white sir. Peavy>Prior.

Well as long as innings are what counts.

Tim Wakefield > Jake Peavy.

Do you hear how Special person that is?

So lets use a 1 year sample of a pitcher and compare him to a pitcher who has pitched multiple years....real smart.

So in other words, you dont have an arguement.

Again where have I used one year? I have used NOTHING but career numbers.

Better ERA+, FIP-, xFIP, SO/BB ratio, better K%, lower FB%.

Peavy was nothing more than a product of Petco field. I mean his away ERA for his career is nearly 4. Prior's is just below 3.2.

 you use (HR*13+(BB+HBP-IBB)*3-K*2)/IP + ONLY 1 season to = prior>peavy. too funny
.

lol. A) I never used FIP. B) Well yeah I mean Prior's is better at that too, so I guess put that feather in the cap as well.

what is Special person is you are using 1 SEASON of Priors to say that he is better than Peavy, we will never know IF he could have been better. 1 season Poods, 1 season VS how many seasons Peavy has pitched. again, 1 season is a sample size.

I just dont see where you think you have an arguement, are you basing this off of potential? sure looks like it.

I am using 650 innings of him. So unless he pitched in the 1920's its more than one season.

650 vs 1500 innings. Prior pitched about half, but pitched those half better.

Peavy is just Chris Young.

Solid pitcher who looks great with in the confines of Petco.

prior was basically a one hit wonder, woulda shoulda coulda, we'll never know if he could of been better than peavy and as of right now he wasnt, i do like how he never gave up and was willing to grind it out playing NBC ball to try and get another shot, i played NBC ball for a couple of years and would of hated having to face him...

You guys are arguing 2 different things. To really break it down, it should go like this:

2002 - 2003 = Prior > Peavy

2004 - Present = Peavy > Prior

Though I still think this whole argument is ridiculous...saying Peavy is better b/c he pitched more innings is just as dumb as saying Prior is better b/c he was more effective in half the time. No one is going to win this argument.

It's really a nothing argument because like IWC just said. In different contexts you could argue either way. It's a silly, stupid argument.
