but this won't happen to Jenkins moving to LT.
Unlike Sewell, who was the #1 LT in the draft, Pace outsmarted everybody by moving a 2nd round RT over to LT.
Of course, and Borom will walk in starting RT.

...all the pieces are in place.

Proof will be in his play but Teven said it was not hard for him. That he played RT because he could do either and his teammate preferred LT.
So the college kid, who's never played in the NFL, doesn't think it's going to be a problem?

You're going with this?

Which is complete nonsense, Decker has done very well against Mack. And if something were to happen to him, Sewel could slide over to LT and Crosby could come in to play RT. It's called depth. If something happens to Jenkins, the Bears O-line falls down like a house of Cards.

Mack lines up over the RT dipshit.

Still in dick mode? Reading in much? It was in response to Sewel saying he found switching sides difficult even though the right is considered easier. If you're familiar with tackle, some have a hard time flipping due to dropping an outside leg properly and mirroring on a non dominant or unaccustomed side and others have little issue with it. Leno was a much better LT than RT. So was Webb though he wasn't good at either. Seems counterintuitive but true. Says nothing about how good he'll be on either side.

Remember when Long got drafted as RT with a strong possibility of moving to LT?

...shouldn't be a problem. Moving to LT in the pros is so easy.

Found this: "Jenkins started 26 games at right tackle at Oklahoma State, seven games at left tackle"

Seven games in college should be enough to make the jump full time in the NFL - Jenkins doesn't think it'll be a problem.

Teven Jenkins played more games at right tackle than left tackle at Oklahoma State, but he did line up at both positions. He started 10 games at right tackle and three at left tackle as a sophomore in 2018 and followed by opening nine contests at right tackle and three at left tackle as a junior in 2019. It's my understanding that Oklahoma State moved him to left tackle last spring and that's where he practiced the entire offseason. He then started the Cowboys' opener against Tulsa at left tackle, but Oklahoma State lost starting right tackle Hunter Anthony to an injury in the game. Because Jenkins' backup, Jake Springfield, is a natural left tackle, he was inserted at that position with Jenkins moving to right tackle. But, as I mentioned, Jenkins has experience at both tackle positions.

Waste of time. He'll change context because he can't let shit go. Pro play is obviously a different level so we'll have to see how well he acclimates to the 2nd most difficult position in the NFL but he was already a LT playing RT in college.

Starting a less experienced offensive lineman at the more difficult LT position isn't really a ringing endorsement for Jenkins.

It was Jenkins choice if they would switch and he did what was best for the team. Obviously, the coach thought his backup was better. That's why he was on the bench.
:snoop"

That said, Jenkins does need work on his pass blocking. He's not a slam dunk on the left side and needs some technique tweaks to become most effective. He's a bit too passive in his drops. I'd like to see him use his strength with more punch and push a wider comer. More direction control and less mirror.

yep. They said the backup was more comfortable playing LT so they moved TJ to RT.
Funny thing is, he is now listed as backup RT after this years spring practice so he sucked at LT.

Wow, so the guy who played LT over Jenkins is now the back up RT?

The plot thickens.

...maybe the report of a lack of athleticism in pass pro has something to do with it.

Nah, he said he can play LT. And Pace & Nagy know what they are doing with offensive line. The proof has been on the field for years.

Really not strange for a powerful road grader.

The head scratcher is the bears moving a right tackle to left tackle so they can play non-tackles at right tackle.
The thing people overlook is tevin also played left tackle in college.
