The Bears are a bottom 10 team in the NFL, how that sorts itself out really comes down to injuries and other unforeseen things.

The Bears are not the worst team in the NFL.

Off the top of my head

Tennessee
Jacksonville
Cleveland
Washington
Tampa Bay

Those 5 teams are worse in my estimation and a couple of others are very similar.

The thing is that we actually are better off with the Bears being the worst team in the NFL next year cause we absolutely have to get one of these QB's coming out next year which we'll need a top 5 pick to do and might actually need a top 3 pick cause teams will trade up ahead of us to get one. So if we have a bad year then we can just use our top pick on a QB but if we have a middle of the pack year then we'll have to trade like 4 or 5 draft picks to move up high enough to get one of them with 2 or 3 of those picks being 1st rounders which will be a big punch in the gut to us. It would absolutely suck to go through another horrible year of losing but to the fans that know how important it is for us to get a young franchise QB it will be worth it in the end.

Fair enough. Is it wrong that I hope Sherff is a complete bust just to spite The Hawk?

Most believe the defensive personnel last year is not nearly as bad as the end result was. Hearing stuff like Jennings last year say the defensive players organized their own meetings because the DBs didn't know what the LBs are DL were doing is telling how bad Tucker was. I didn't make that up. Use the Google!

I'll leave you to hang out in the QB gutter forum to prattle on about your take on offense. I will say that this team has won games w/ its current quarterback and although not perfect this team can win again with him. When this QB doesn't have to play tic-for-tac TDs due to a historically bad defense not able to force a SINGLE punt in a half (or a game in one instance) then the offense's problems become less noticeable.

This team should hover around 8-8. W/ a little luck it could grab a wildcard spot.

Like I said, if this team goes 9-7 with the present personnel that they have which is no better than what they had last year in total, they ought to take them all and induct them into the NFL HOF because last year's coaches must have been the worst ever in pro football. Most of you are giddy about the changes in the coaching staff and think that will account for going from 5 wins to 9 wins. I'm not so sure but hope to be surprised.

Last year's team quit as a whole and that is a CHARACTER FLAW that I don't believe gets fixed just because of a coaching change. Leopards don't change their spots. It is an easy statement of believe to say that "the other guys didn't know what they were doing: "its their fault", "the talent was there, it just didn't get used properly", etc. I think that is all pretty lame excuses. And, one thing that I have not heard any Bear incumbent say is this........ "ITS OUR FAULT........WE QUIT AND STOP PLAYING........SHAME ON US". Well, that would entail being a man and MANNING UP. Something I haven't heard to a quasi man. Have you?

Why in the hell would anyone do that? That's pretty little girlish.

Well you won't have to do it cause you're not accepting the bet anyway right??
