Mongo, you have never once said who you would have gone out and gotten in free agency. I wanna hear these elite players we could have grabbed.

I thought the Bears free agency period was exceptional considering the budget and the state of the team.

Hard to lure guys to a recovering dumpster fire.

Sat on plane next to khaseem greene's brother today. We talked about last year and scheme/coaching vs talent on the team. Kg said it was tucker and bad def not the talent, there is talent on the bears def. I think we'll see a much better def this year.

Better still does not mean good.

This defense was really bad.

It's like, who the **** cares?

This isn't even worth the effort it would take to actually get mad.

I have been a fan for 50 years and with the exception of about 7 of those years this has been a total shit franchise. Bad management, bad players and bad head coaches. John Fox is not the innovator that we need and Denver was glad he left. You may think he will lead us to greatness but in the end he is a 7-9 win guy and we will have lost another 5 years

Well until we get a QB then it would be tough for any head coach to be great. How did Belichek do as a head coach without T.Brady?? You either need a great defense and running game or you need a great QB.

And he never will. He's just hating with the sole purpose of pissing and moaning. Same goes for the draft.

I was on a plane with with Trestmans brother who said the team lacked talent.

I have said in past threads who they should be targeting in FA - they instead went with bottom feeders,

So take your Bullshit "he never will" crap somewhere else.

The problem is the Bears always took a shot at brand new coaches that could be that innovator you are talking about. They got totally burned the last time with Trestman. They wanted to have a safe hire. Fox probably won't lead us to the Super Bowl, but he will take us out of rock bottom. It did it to 2 franchises already. One thing that is to like about Fox is he gets a lot of respect around the league. We would have never landed Fangio with another rookie coach. Fangio basically said it.

You have a right to be disappointed in the Bears. I have too. When I get mad, it does help to think of the unfortunate fans of some like Cleveland, the Toronto Maple Leafs, etc. it could always be worse.

As soon as we get our franchise QB which will hopefully be in next years draft things will start to get better. 2017 will be our year. We get our QB in next years draft and give him that season to get comfortable and ready for the 2017 season and Pace and Fox will also have our team much younger and a new culture in the locker room and on the field. So we'll have to get through two more seasons of mediocrity but there will be growth in those next two seasons.

True, but I think we'll see this def be much better this year. We were bad last year and I put a lot of that on the coaches and schemes. I talked to this kid on the plane for an hour and he seemed pretty smart. Between fa and draft and coaches / scheme we should be 16-20 I think, not bottom.

We just gave you 2 examples of stupid shit that Fox did during games. He is like the white Lovie in his game management. The Bronco fans saw his stupidity and wanted him gone.

Tell me who you think is the greatest coach ever and i'll bet you there's more than 1 occasion that that coach made a bad decision on the field. Now i actually won't go and find those bad decisions cause i really don't care that much but there are bad decisions that were made by EVERY single head coach out there.

Remember when Bill went for it on 4th and 2 from their own 30 yard line vs the Colts a few years ago?

LOL at people who still have faith that Cutlers 6th OC can fix him.

I never said anything about Gase fixing him. I've never said anything about any coaches fixing him. That's part of the problem with your position on Cutler. People either agree with you, or they're a "Cutler nuthugger" as you like to call them.

There is grey area. You can make the most out of a bad situation. We're stuck with Cutler. So if Gase is smart, we'll have a strong running game, and not ask Cutler to throw the ball as many times as Brady and Manning. Martz got decent production out of him when he ran his offense like that.

I heard this exact same stuff about Emery and Trestman when they replaced. Lovie and Angelo.

Emery and Trestman left us in a MUCH worse place than Lovie and Angelo. But when things are so bad, the coaching changes/draft/FA make us that much better of a team imo! Hopefully, in a couple years, we can ascend to how shitty we were when Lovie left us.

Well I would like to take it a step further. If he is so confident the Bears will struggle to win 4 games he should accept my ban bet. That way I don't have to hear him spew nonsense all season and clamor for shitty OT/G conversions in the draft next year.

He'll just sign back up in a new account name like others have done on here.

I find it funny when guys throw out this ban bet nonsense. Really immature shit. Just like folks who dislike people like Gus does. Guess you do it in order to appear like you're tough or something. If you don't like what I say, then put me on ignore. I did it to Gus just recently because he upset me. But to think that somehow I am going to ban myself because of a stupid bet is hilarious.

Grow the **** up.

Fair enough. Is it wrong that I hope Sherff is a complete bust just to spite The Hawk?

Pretty funny actually. The better reaction would be to analyze how our tackles are performing this coming year and what impact having Scherff or Peat might have had on the offensive line performance. But, hey, then you'd actually have to think and analyze something instead of throw out little snippy things.

No no no, he already promised to play golf on Sundays instead of watching games, because Jay Cutler is still on the team. Check Gustavus' sig for evidence.

That wasn't me, that is someone else known as the "SHIT HAWK" that Gus must know and be friends with.
