My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
Hilarious seeing how much the tune on Poles has changed on Bears twitter. Two off-seasons in a row its all "KING POLES DOES IT AGAIN" after signing guys like Byron Pringle, Lucas Patrick, Justin Jones and the plethora of non-impact players. These must have been the same fans who said you cant fire Pace because of Nick Kwitkowski and Trevis Gipson(zero stats this season. idk if hes even getting playing time). Now everyone gets to see the master plan coming together with the dogshit coaching staff and its the worst we've ever seen it.

Bears fans better hope that the meatball narrative running through the fandom is true:

"Poles never wanted Justin or Eberflus - they were McCaskey desires/hires. He's tanking so he can start over with the QB and head coach he wants"

Because if that isn't true (and I wager it's not), Poles is going to be yet another in a long line of failures in the GM spot for the Bears.

George doesn't do full house cleanings. This team still employs, and has even promoted, scouts who unanimously chose Mitch over Mahomes (among other blunders).
He did with emery trestman. If you mean the scouts as well I honestly don’t know how far George goes with his meddling and what he allows a gm to do. Are the scouts still here cause George doesn’t allow changes or do the new gm hired actually keep these guys around instead of building their own team….

Poles was given a broken down Chevy, and he proceeded to crash it.
He then got a bunch of money to buy a Porsche, but instead buys a bunch of broken down Chevys which are being crashed.
Do you really want to get this guy money for Lamborghini?

I absolutely do not trust Poles to do jack shit with 2 high first rounders based on his batting average of 0.

People keep saying Fields is "broken". But he's been the exact same player for 2+ years in the NFL that he was in college. All his flaws were there in college. He is the problem, not the coaches, not the situation. He is a very, very bad quarterback. I think people are blinded by his awesome raw talent but at no time has he ever showed any ability to be an NFL quarterback.

That's not to say what's around him isn't garbage, but it's very clear that Fields' inability to play quarterback from the pocket makes it all but impossible to '" coach" him or run an offense of any kind. What do you do with a quarterback who can't read defenses? Who can't process zone coverage can't read man coverage leverage?

I think Justin Fields is a great kid. It wouldn't surprise me if,in 2 or 3 years, he pops back up as a decent quarterback. But right now, he is historically bad.

You are correct.

Reminds me of Jameis Winston. Long before he got to college, while he was in college, and in the pre draft process, people thought he was going to be a great NFL qb.

He won at Florida St. because they had a ridiculous roster and it would have been a crime if they didn't win it all. All he had to do was not screw it up. You could see he was a flawed qb and didn't have "it" upstairs. His team carried him and you could see that he wasn't going to be great in the nfl, but JUST LIKE FIELDS people were in love with his raw athletic gifts and thought he could turn into something. We have all seen what he has become.

That is going to be Justin Fields.

99% of prospects have flaws. You might be interested to know that that's what coaching is for. But in Chicago thats about as rare as having a QB or a GM or a clue.

Some flaws can't be fixed or coached away. Fields can't process the NFL game, just like Jameis Winston. That can't be fixed and won't be fixed. He doesn't have "it" upstairs.

You could tell in college too, but Ohio St. simply had significantly more talent than their opponents. Fields couldn't screw it up.

TBF, Josh Allen was a flawed prospect with lots of potential that was actually able to develop into a great QB.

You are correct. It can happen. It happened QUICKLY with Allen. Fields is in year 3 and actually looks worse. Has he really improved anywhere?

Yeah its weird how a player has gotten worse on a team where everyone is getting worse and looks like they dont even want to be there. I wonder what it could be. Hmmmmm.

HITS or something.

Ok, here’s the plan: let Fields, eberflus, **** everything up, get first pick, fire coaching staff, hire Eric Bienemy as HC. Sb bound…..

Everyone who knows how to truly break down tape have all said the scheme is shit and all of the players seem to have no idea what they're doing and many of them dont seem to even care. Ive never seen a more clear cut indicator that coaching is the biggest problem, regardless of how flawed the roster is.

Fields is broken beyond repair. He could have been the long term answer but he's gotten 3 years of terrible coaching combined with shit OL play and when he finally got a legitimate NFL WR it doesn't matter because everything sucks. Not to mention knowing that if you score 10 or 30 points, you're not going to win anyways.

This is simply wishful thinking by Bears fans. There is no proof.

But yes, coaching is a disaster. And Poles has been a disaster too.

You are a broken record.

Yes, the team sucks. The coaches suck. No real impact players including Fields.

Fields would be better on a better team, but you can't overlook his flaws and the fact that he rarely, if ever, makes an impact play that an NFL franchise qb should make. He should at least get lucky occasionally and make a big "wow" play, but he never does.

Why is that?

I think he is PART of the problem. Saying he IS the problem is a stretch.

Justin isn’t playing defense or running fucked up routes. This entire organization from Virginia on down needs to be nuked from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

I have no love for Poles but he was hired after year 1 of Fields when we just spent 2 first round picks on him. You have to give that draft pick a chance. He did and it just didn't work out.

Poles is going to get the chance to draft his QB and will be judged on that. The Bears organization should not have allowed Pace to trade up to draft Fields if they were considering firing him the next season. That is just poor timing and makes the next guy's job more difficult.

Do we watch the same team? He absolutely DOES make “wow” plays. He’s done it for three years now.

The problem is in between those “wow” plays are usually several “WTF” plays.

Correct. Clearly it's not "never". An exaggeration, but those "wow" plays are too few and most of them are with his legs in a PASSING league. Very few "wow" plays with his arm and picking apart what the defense gives you. He just doesn't have it.

So you saying the same thing allot of us were saying a few years ago but caught shit for it even from you lol. You don’t want to give this another 5 more years to evaluate? And I do agree with what your saying but maybe you and allot of others should lay off giving people shit for seeing this crap much sooner

I thought the throw that DJ dropped last week was a “wow” throw. I just want execution on the simple shit too though

The problem with Justin's wow plays is that they are never part of bringing the team back from a deficit.

The one thing that I have not seen from Fields is the ability to lead his team from behind.
