I accept your apologyI’m sorry I hurt you.

The problem with Justin's wow plays is that they are never part of bringing the team back from a deficit.
The one thing that I have not seen from Fields is the ability to lead his team from behind.
I thought the throw that DJ dropped last week was a “wow” throw. I just want execution on the simple shit too though
Without a doubt, we have a low standard for QBs in Chicago. To me, that's not a "wow" throw. I think we see throws like that regularly from franchise qbs. I didn't think it was special.
I think Fields is so bad that people are trying to call things like that "wow" plays to prop him up.

Just like you'll rarely see coaches throw other coaches under the bus (Payton v Hackett the most obvious exception), rarely will you another former NFL QB slam a current QB. Just doesn't seem to happen. They're always going to protect their own.Its an interesting take. Peter's more plugged in than some of the guys watching the all-22, but Chase Daniel was on with Parkins and Spiegel later in the day and basically said while Fields has some things to work on, a lot of the disfunction is around Fields, and basically straight called Getsy's scheme garbage.
Even so, I still don't see Fields as a long term answer - his vision is clearly lacking in the middle of the field. But I don't want Getsy anywhere NEAR who comes next.
I’ll have to watch it again. I just remember thinking at the time it was a nice throw with that should have been caught.
This is exactly why the Bears repeat the same pattern. New QB drafted/traded by hotseat GM, everyone gets fired, new GM, new defensive minded coach, shit OC, no talent around the QB, fails, coach fired, QB replaced, wash, rinse, repeat. The most respected football journalist in America says it. As if it wasn't blatantly obvious by the way he built the roster last season as he surrounded him with garbage coaches.

A nice built in scapegoat to buy his time in Chicago. The book on how to play George and Tanesha is out there and everybody has a copy. Like I've been telling you guys, best place to be a NFL GM.
Hopefully Kevin Warren gets rid of this fat idiot and they can do a complete staff & QB rebuild for the first time in decades.
CC: @Chief Walking Stick did you hear this today or did you fall asleep during David Ross' interview?
I feel like passing on Carter for a RT is so egregious that he should be fired for that alone. So you didn't believe in Justin Fields as The Guy, but you passed on CJ Stroud in a draft where the non-quarterback talent was extremely mediocre? Then also passed on Paris Johnson Jr. (All-pro level start in Arizona, bonafide stud) and Jalen Carter (if this class has one Hall of Famer he sure looks like it)?
OK great, you're fired. This should be an easy one.
Don't worry, he will be. Bears need scapegoats and at this point Matt Eberflus isn't gonna cut it.I feel like passing on Carter for a RT is so egregious that he should be fired for that alone.
Agreed 100%. The Bears aren't one to can GMs early but this is coming pretty close to the dumpster fire that got Phil Emery fired. I don't want Poles to be the guy to pick a QB for us next season.Fair enough we want to build through the draft, but so far that doesn't look like it's going well.
It’s absolutely baffling. And we hope for a quick turnaround each time to no availThis is exactly why the Bears repeat the same pattern. Idk, there's plenty of peeps on this board that always tell me and @KittiesKorner about the 5 year rebuild when we get a new GM.It’s absolutely baffling. And we hope for a quick turnaround each time to no avail
Nobody is taking you up on the moustache rides.Only i give out tickets around here.
Its gonna totally be different this time tho...This is exactly why the Bears repeat the same pattern. New QB drafted/traded by hotseat GM, everyone gets fired, new GM, new defensive minded coach, shit OC, no talent around the QB, fails, coach fired, QB replaced, wash, rinse, repeat.
No one is overlooking his flaws. Just stating the facts of his circumstances. Yes i am a broken record. So are the Bears. Something we all have to deal withYou are a broken record.
Yes, the team sucks. The coaches suck. No real impact players including Fields.
Fields would be better on a better team, but you can't overlook his flaws and the fact that he rarely, if ever, makes an impact play that an NFL franchise qb should make. He should at least get lucky occasionally and make a big "wow" play, but he never does.
Why is that?
And there is no proof that he's bad just because he was destined to be bad. There is no blueprint. If there was everyone would have a QB. Josh Lucas was on the score today and said that Fields first start was the type of game that CAN(didn't say it as a fact) have permanent damage. Fields wasn't ready. They knew it and they threw him in anyways and had zero plan on how to protect him from the other team or himself. Take that game and extrapolate it by multiple seasons. This was Justin Fields introduction to the NFL and his situation because of George allowing Pace and Nagy to draft him, was simply a situation that is more unique than most. This is simply wishful thinking by Bears fans. There is no proof.
But yes, coaching is a disaster. And Poles has been a disaster too.
