Why do you believe they can fix the offensive line in one year?
Because Garrett doesnt prevent them from signing a free agent center. Because losing the #10 doesnt prevent them from drafting guards with #39 and #41.

That alone improves the oline dramatically.

Im not basing anything just off of the Eagles. The 49ers were led by defense and a playcaller, the Rams are defense and a play caller, Broncos got there with defense, the eagles got there both times with defense. The Ravens won with defense. Buccaneers...

Having elite defense can take you all the way, especially with a young QB who is still learning.
Well you literally mentioned the Super Bowl champs. So it seemed appropriate to mention the Eagles.

Yea, because the bears are known for getting all the top players in FA and drafting amazing players too

When the guards they draft suck, and the center ends up being shelton we can all watch caleb get sacked 60 times but you'll jerk off to all the sacks garrett gets

The eagles legit are good because they got a haul from a trade. His post makes no sense
Roseman also seems to have zero ego when he makes mistakes. To wit: he drafted Jalen Raegor in the first round of 2020, and when that didn't work he wasn't afraid to go back to the well for Smith.

Oh... sorry we're back to using the Bears historical mistakes as the reason why this is a bad decison ✅

Are you saving the failed Mack trade as your final assault grandmaster?

I'm wondering if people really dont want to trade for Garrett becauese it might mean they cant couldnt afford to sign a right guard for $22M for 5yrs?

I have have concerns with the overall cost of extending Garrett but good grief with the doom and gloom about not being able to fix the Oline because of it.

If he's not, I will.

How many playoff wins did the team have when Mack was here? What was the biggest hole in the roster?

Garrett single-handedly fixes the defense so that's got to count for something. I don't like the idea of giving up next year's first as this years' #10 is a lot more than the Browns figure to get from any team that's got a chance of sniffing the playoffs.

Garrett/Sweat are terrors on the edge and will make life a lot easier on Dexter/Billings in the middle and the secondary behind them. Based on the money he'll be owed you're then out of the running for Trey Smith (which might be a pipe dream anyway) so you go hard after a center (Dalman) to lock that spot down and then bring in what figures to be two of the best guards in the draft in the second round. Trying to replace Braxton is kicked down the road to next year but that's still a big upgrade on the line, assuming the picks don't suck.

I’d rather go after Mack or Josh Sweat. They’re cheaper and we don’t have to give up draft picks. They won’t be the best player on the team, but they will fill a hole.
Josh Sweat or Milton Williams at DT? Yes. Mack? F no. Too old and will only play 1 more year.

So you think adding two rookies and a free agent will make the best offensive line possible for Caleb to succeed?

Just ballpark how old are you? 20s, 30s? Let me know what kind of football experience I'm dealing with here.

Was that because of the trade or because of the lack of QB and coaching?

Furthermore do you believe what has happened previously in sports is a reliable indicator that it is destined to happen again?

So you are discarding the idea of adding two of the best guards available in the draft as nonfactors? You do know that guards generally are not taken in the top half of the first round?

If the Bears take two at the top of round two they are likely injecting their Oline two quality players. Couple them with a FA like Dalman and this Oline is immensely better.

I am discarding it.

Now answer the question. How old are you?

How many QBs have started for the Bears since Super Bowl 20?

Dont worry we will sign all the TOP FA's at guard and center magically and then good backups too so the OL will be fixed!

But hey when caleb is getting sacked 60 times a game we can all be happy about our nice defense :)
Do the Bears have more than just a 1st rd pick?

Last I checked I am an adult hbu?
So you're not old enough to realize that you can't make an offensive line better in one off season. It takes time to grow and develop an offensive line. Starting two second round rookies won't fix the issues they have up front.

They need to keep and add talent and develop the unit over two years.
