2. CHICAGO BEARS

  • 2023 Record: 7-10
  • First Round Picks: First and ninth
  • Projected Cap Space: $46.8M (7th)
Much like the 2023 offseason, 2024 looks to be another busy one for the Bears, as last year’s trade with the Panthers has them in an outstanding position in the draft with two top-10 picks and over $40 million in cap space. That draft capital should increase further if the Bears are able to find a trade partner in a potential Justin Fields deal. With the projected selection of Caleb Williams at quarterback to pair with DJ Moore, Cole Kmet and possibly a high-end rookie pass catcher, the 2024 Bears have the potential to make some noise in what is expected to be a very competitive NFC North.

I actually agree with this , I think the bears are in a somewhat similar position as the Lions were in in 2023, if the the players they draft make a big impact like the Lions picks from a year ago did

Do they win the NFC North without beating the Packers next year?

they could...

they go 15-2 win the division, but lose to the packers twice....

I don't care if they never beat the Packers, but win every other game...

I can't get upset with the ranking, the question is should they be 1 or 2? The other 6 teams are bad.

Would be similar to 2001 where they went 13-3 and 0-2 vs the Packers. Then got destroyed by McNabb and the Eagles in the Divisional.
they did.....that team was artificially decent

The OT win vs SF was the highlight that year.

Mike Brown was a hero two weeks in a row.

One team has a franchise QB. The Bears don’t (as much as I love Fields)

I agree, the Bengals should be at the top of that list. Carolina has no business on that list at all.

I think they have another miserable year.

This basically happened in 2001, lol. Only other loss was week 1 to the Ravens.

Although they lost that week 1game to the ravens, many were surprised at how they moved the ball for a decent part of the game. They spread them out and actually had some success in the first half by utilizing short quick passes. Other teams followed suit which exposed the Ravens weakness that no one else really took advantage of the year before.

If the Bears land one of the top receivers, I don't care who the QB is. If they're not in the playoffs the entire thing needs to be reset again. If they can't improve upon seven wins with two first round picks and the third most free agency money EVERYONE gets fired.

Especially if they go with Justin Fields. If front office is dumb enough to keep Fields and they're not in the playoffs the entire thing needs to be reset. Absolutely EVERYONE gets fired.

I remember that weekend vividly. I flew to Texas to meet up with a girl who picked me up from the airport wearing nothing but a trench coat and knee high boots. I did manage to watch the game... but the bedroom activities stole the show. F#ck that was an awesome weekend.

Yes, that’s the way successful NFL teams operate. Just fire everyone every few years until it works…

Continuity is for losers.

Also, in a sport with serious injuries, it’s playoffs or fire everyone even if several of their key contributors are injured.

Screw context, playoffs or fire them all…

Question. Does everyone need to get fired, only some, or no one? I think I missed that in your post.
