I'd be more happy if some of the players were switched out for bona fide ball players so they could actually have a shot at contending like #3, #6, and #8.

Hopefully Renteria tones down the lineup shuffling soon. After the first seven games it's apparent who's been contributing offensively (Boni, Lake, Rizzo, Valbuena and Castro) and who um, isn't (Barney, Kalish, except his one big game, Castillo). Olt needs to play everyday, period. He won't find a rhythm getting one or two ABs a day. I think Bonifacio is capable enough defensively in center that you need to play him there daily and keep Valbuena at second. Both guys give you more opportunities to get on base and if Castro, Rizzo and Lake continue to put the ball in play, that's our best shot to score runs with what we currently have.
Renteria is more than likely going to continue platooning a corner outfield spot, because there isn't enough bang between Schierholtz, Ruggiano, Sweeney and Kalish to warrant one of them being a full-time guy. My guess is that Ruggiano and Schierholtz will get the bulk of the platoon time. The Sweeney contract bummed me out when it happened and, in my eyes, he's the odd man out.

Well, I meant with the players we actually have... I'd prefer to keep putting Kalish out as well... and while Lake probably won't amount to much, I'd still like to see what we have in him.

Lake has a better shot then Kalish at staying around. Ruggiano is also garbage as well.
