I think if we see more of the rough stuff from these Tampa boys on Saturday, we need to set the tone.

I know Shaw bit that dude after he sucker punched Kane last night, but that wasn't nearly enough the retribution these little ******* should have coming to them.

It's like desperation mode for them and I want to see total dominance on Saturday.

Has Toews ever in his career dropped the gloves and taken it to someone?

I think that would be pretty epic and get things really going IMHO.

Also, when's Bickell coming back?

One more thing - when was the last real brawl in the playoffs? ANy in recent history?

No one is going to go ape shit fighting in the playoffs. You aren't going to risk being down actual skilled players during a championship series.

If you did see it you'd see it at the very end of the game but even still it's not worth the risk. You risk losing a guy to an injury or a guy due to the instigator rule

Fighting in hockey is idiotic anyways.

Toews is not gonna fight, he would be stupid to do that... no matter how epic it would be to see him and Stamkos duke it out, it's not gonna happen.

In the playoffs, you rarely see teams lose their cool and fight anymore. Only the dirtiest of teams, ala the Canucks, would be dumb enough to lose composure and start a brawl.

Toews has fought David Backes before, and I think he fought Joe Thornton as well. He's not a fighter though, and shouldn't be expected to do that.

Maybe if Toews dropped the gloves it would get him going finally. He has been absolutely pathetic the entire postseason.

So your theory is that Toews doing something that could get him a game misconduct and/or suspended would help him perform better on the ice.

"You know how Toews could perform better during the game?...By getting himself removed from it."

Didn't Andrew Ladd fight someone on Vancouver back in 2009-2010 during the playoffs?

The hawks had 1 fight I think in their last cup run, it's just something that doesn't happen in the Final often, that 1 fight was at the last 20 seconds or so of a game the Hawks had lost, like game 3 or something after some scrums were started by the Hawks trying to get pressure around the net.

Ladd and Kesler fought because Kesler was being his prickly self.

A lot of fights broke out in that series.

Ladd/Kesler
Eager/Bieksa
Keith/Hair Puller

Am I missing any? Probably. That series was a straight up brawl.

U know that you don't get a misconduct for fighting right? I'd be happy with that slug sitting for 5 minutes of he beats up Stamkos or Johnson and also gets them off the ice.

He is supposed to be the "leader", right?

Not in years.

I think that would be pretty epic and get things really going IMHO.

No, it wouldn't be and it would not.

Also, when's Bickell coming back?

Quite possibly never.

Fun fact, my cousin fought Ben Eager once when Eager was playing in one of the minor leagues under the AHL.

You realize you can get game misconduct penalties for breaking rules during a fight right?

Great way for him to lead. By not being eligible to play.

Fighting in hockey is stupid and accomplishes nothing.

How'd your cousin get out of the crowd and onto the ice to fight Eager? :troll:
