I'll say just one thing, had Tyrus been in at the end of the game 5 instead of Miller, the Bulls would ahve won this series.
Agh, i came here to get away from all the Tyrus bashing, and I come here and it's the same thing.
Sure, we should trade him for Bosh, but I still wouldn't trade him for Amare and quite frankly, Vinny didn't put him in during the game when he should have. Kelly Dwyer from yahoo sports really breaks down why we lost this game and the series, Tyrus wasn't on the court enough:

Not with Tyrus Thomas on the bench, pulling in more rebounds (five) than his replacement "power forward" (John Salmons) did in 42 minutes. I don't care if Thomas makes mistakes. I don't care if he takes possessions off. I don't care if the Bulls should have drafted Brandon Roy or LaMarcus Aldridge. Thomas' flighty, typical play is still better than an injured shooting guard having to play power forward in a Game 7 on the road.
The stats for Thomas are modest, though pretty solid per-minute. Four points, five rebounds, two blocks, two steals, two assists, one turnover in about 17 minutes. That's not the point. The point is that you need a power forward out there to cover the rim. To rebound. To play his role. You don't ask Salmons or Rose or Gordon or Hinrich to try that out. Not in any playoff game, much less this one.
This is a perfect article that every Bulls fan should read. Vinny Dell Bickerstaff was the difference. Truthfully I would keep the core and just add someone like a Reggie Evans or a muscle guy. Other than that, sign Gordon and wait till the trade deadline next year. Everyone needs to shut up about Tyrus they just don't know ball. Vinny couldve atleast tried a big lineup, c'mon. Great Article everyone read it!!!!
The reason Vinny went small was because Tyrus wasn't bringing anything. Vinny was putting the best players out there that's all Vinny was doing. Tyrus has a lot to learn and people need to understand that it's not just blocking shots and dunking the ball
Tyrus made a lot of strides this off season and played 28 minutes in the postseason which is a good amount of minutes but he has to continue to work on the jumper but also work on his rebounding and decision making.
Tyrus has all the tools but he doesn't do the little things well that if he starts doing them he'll be better
For example Noah knows his role and he's said it he can have two points but impact a game. His defends, rebounds blocks shots and bring energy every play. Makes the smart plays
Tyrus is still learning which is fine but he's has to improve.
