Is byron leftwhich seriously a candidate or is this a joke. I remember many bear fans wanted him in the 2003 draft. The bears traded down and took grossman instead.

Easily Frank Reich for me. Now that the Bears have addressed the QB position I think it would be very wise to hire a QB driven guy like Reich who played QB very well in Buffalo, & is currently doing a helluva job working with Wentz & Phillys offense. Plus it would be nice to see what a QB driven new HC candidate like Reich, who's actually employed in American pro football would accomplish. Unlike the last so called QB whisperer hired as the Bears HC who wreaked of a disaster waiting to happen the second he was hired from the CFL. While other front offices with working brains in their heads hired actual NFL up and comers like Arians. By hiring Trestman the Bears F.O. really went far out of their way to show everyone that they clearly had the market for football stupidity cornered & monopolized.

I'd be eager to see what a very well seasoned QB minded coach with Frank Reich could accomplish with a kid like Trubisky who's eager to learn/develop successfully along with with a significant injection of new blue chip WR, RT, & Center talent. I'd bet the farm that Reich would be the perfect fit for the HC position, & QB guru to match up with & build the roster around Trubisky. IMO Pace should go all in for a potential HC candidate like Reich with an outstanding resume as both a successful QB on the field & current assistant coach.

McDaniels and it ain't even close... If he is even willing to come here.

McDaniels seems like a douche or he use to be. He has had a lot of issue with other players hating him as well as coaches also didn't he get in trouble for taping opponents practices?

Who remembers when Todd Haley refused to shake McDaniels hand?

"There is a lot of shit being talked about you" - Todd Haley to McDaniels

I like a few of those names. McDaniels, Nagy, Reich, Harbaugh. Just get us someone who understands how the game works NOW. And who understands that they're going to have to adapt year after year after year to stay AHEAD of the curve.

No more "running and defense are all that matter" coaches. Ffs. Let that mentality fucking die. "Bear football" needs to be redefined. And it starts with #10, and coaches who understand how to help him perfect his craft, and start whooping Green Bay's 1-dimensional ass.

I voted for Byron Leftwich - only so that those who wanted him over Rex Grossman finally get their wish :smug2:
Only of Rex is our Quarterback.... coach too.

If Reich were hired by the Bears, I'd jump out my skin. I know he isn't the biggest name on the list, but I strongly believe he is the best potential HC for this Bears team, it's current needs & construct. His resume is great for what would suite the Bears needs to succeed, especially with Trubisky. I would really like the hire if it were Reich.

I don't want anything to do with McDaniels, or most any assistant that comes out of Bill Belichicks system. I've always believed that NEs HC was & is the mind behind the madness of NE's success. BB's assistant coaches just seem as though they are tailored to doing very well at what the HC insists, but once they leave NE it just seems like more often than not assistants that leave NE for HC positions seem to flop once they have to dictate the pace of the game & have to make their own calls. Maybe I'm off on that assessment, because I don't pay much mind to NE.

When it comes to Harbaugh, like the masses of the fanbase, I loved the idea of Pace hiring him as the HC, & still would like the hire. But I will say that I noticed around the mid collegiate season that Harbaugh was flat out out coached against legit competition more than once, & was just flat outclassed in the Penn State loss. I was shocked with the outcome of the Penn State game. I know Penn State was arguably the best team in the BCS when they played each other, but I thought Michigan would have at least given them a run for their money.

I still like Harbaugh a lot & would like the hire, but putting all the public recognition/media hype, past Bears nostalgia, & bias to the side, I really think Reich would make an outstanding HC hire for the Bears & their current state.

I like Nagy

-played the position
-studied under a genius
-the Chiefs offense is so diverse

I would like Nagy. At the same time you can factually say the same exact things about Frank Reich who was was an excellent QB once he got his shot under Marv Levy(genius) in the 90's no huddle offense(diverse) which is basically todays "uptempo".

McDaniels is a real head case. I'd choose Nagy from the listed candidates. JH second from the provided candidates.

Gase if available and if I were Pace I’d be calling David Shaw (not listed) to see if he’s ready to leave Stanford

That is the ideal set-up as far as I am concerned. Bring in Shaw with the possibility that down the road he could move up to head coach if they kick Harbaugh upstairs to GM. THese three guys have proved themselves successful working together before and I think it could work again.

After today psycho Harbaugh will have managed to remove Michigan from even the top 25.
