I'd post mine, but this probably isn't the right place for midget porn.

I have a rather large desktop and I'm too lazy to turn it into a smaller image.

That's a pretty cool dual monitor bg. What is that...3840 wide?

Yep, two 28 inch monitors.

Debating on going with 3 next time I do a rebuild.

This is my actual desk (sadly taken with my shitty phone, actually, pretty sure that's the world cup on the TV there):

Nice. I am thinking about adding a 3rd as well and keeping that one portrait all the time. It's so nice writing code with a monitor flipped like that.

Yeah, there are a few nice Dells floating around the office that pivot, I've been trying to get IT to let me have one, it would be really nice since I've had to do some more web dev stuff.

Don't need it as much for the more DBA centered side of my job.

I do mostly back end type stuff. I'm actually a DBA, but lately I've been doing a lot more PHP and JS stuff to support front ends for our DBs and building reporting systems, and other web apps to sit on top of our DBs for departments like Workforce Management and HR to use.

So I most certainly am not a real web developer, I do know some of those skills and have been expanding/honing them.

As I'm sure any one else here who is a developer of any stripe can attest, if you aren't learning new languages/skills you won't be employed for long.

So true. It's really hard, especially when you have to wear a lot of hats. Sometimes I'm a online business strategy / marketing consultant. Sometimes I'm designing shit. Sometimes I'm a project manager. Sometimes I'm writing code. Need more employees!

Quite a bit, but not a lot recently. Most of my consulting is e-commerce.

Cutler has a better QB rating, better yards per attempt, more touchdown passes, a better completion percentage and his team is 7-1. Cutler's also been sacked 9 more times than Luck and is still putting up better numbers. The only reason Luck has more passing yards is because he has almost 100 more passing attempts than Cutler.

Luck is averaging 301 yards per game while Cutler is averaging 222.

Oh yeah, the dude is a fucking rookie.

I've never worked with WordPress, I was under the impression that was some sort of structure blogging system/environment?

I still can't convince people I don't wear an Analyst hat anymore. 10-15% of my job is still building reports and stat models and stuff.

The majority of my time is fixing application problems. I'm a j2ee app server admin. So I'm responsible for the layer between *nix and the app. We are mainly a Websphere shop, little weblogic, and most recently a lot more open source in tomcat, jboss, etc... Biggest thing we have been doing in the last year is moving our services tier into Websphere enterprise service bus, from and old plain Jane java 1.5 tier.

So a lot of bash script writing for automation, a php script that we call with curl to audit a lot of our tasks into a MySQL DB, and php development to grab that data and report on how much time we have saved the company.

I'd like to get more php development time, but so slammed with everything else right now.
