I think game 1 and game 2 have gone to everyones head.

Guys, this Bulls team does this. We lay egg's. It happens. We aren't as good as we looked in game 1 and aren't as bad as we looked tonight.

Flush this game. Get ready for Sunday.

it was the fact that boston is taking away all of our normal comfortable looks

i realize you guys dont wanna credit boston...but that is exactly what happened tonight

rose=no paint
gordon=cant breathe off of screens
our bigs=getting stripped/hacked whenever they receive the ball at the free throw line or in

that's our offense, outside of fast breaks...which we didnt get any of tonight b/c boston made their baskets and ran their offense

hell...boston even took advantage of our token full court press...hey vinny NEVER EVER have tyrus as your last defender b/c he would rather stick his arms out in hopes of a steal instead of moving his feet back to get ready to embrace the upcoming player

i disagree...they know what we like to do on offense and they're stopping it...it's pretty much everything they're doing

even if we run the break more, the fact that we aren't doing it as much now is b/c of the celtics making their shots.

one of the major things that they are doing which is pretty much killing us is they arent allowing rose into the paint anymore. of the pick and roll they will just have their big step back to guard the paint and rose's man will recover if need be. without rose getting into the paint (which was what he did the majority of game one) and without gordon getting any type of good looks on off the ball screens, it's going to be a long tough series.

the celtics have taken away all the semi-easy shots.

But they didnt do anything tons differently, we just basically threw the ball right to them. That first quarter had nothing to do with defense. It was a combination of going 1 on 1, passing the ball to the big guys who never caught the ball, and forcing the ball to areas where a turnover can be committed. We have bad offensive sets..just everything was bad.

This in turn caused everyone to basically go solo which then compounds the problem. You think of all of Salmons shots (11) came on all 1 on 1 plays. Same for Gordon.

From the tip off, the game was over. We had no flow, we couldnt hit even open shots, and we couldnt even hit free throws.

Thats just a bad combination.

That game was actually alot like Game 1 for Miami.

Im just hoping D-Rose does the Chicago think like D-Wade for next game and makes up for that performance.

Bulls pretty much sucked today. No two ways around it. The only thing you can do about it is prepare for the next game. Chances are we won't play nearly as bad in game 4. Just take care of the ball, and do what won you game 1. Drawing fouls doesn't seem to be much of an issue, just make your free throws next time.

Salmons is injured give him a break. If he is playing like this next season then you can start complaining.

i agree they didnt do a ton of things differently, but even doc rivers said after quarter 1 of game 1 that the scheme was fine, it just needs to be executed.

the first quarter was about defense...they kept rose out of the paint. when rose gets into the paint he's able to free open a lot of people...with rose not getting into the paint he ended up spending the majority of the game off the ball. getting the ball out of rose's hands should be boston's top priority. and even rose made stupid passes when he saw he wasnt going to be able to get inside to big men who weren't even ready/looking.

that and john salmons...

Well you add the three games together and you probably get a pretty accurate picture of where these teams are at. We're not as bad as we were this game, but we're also not as good as we were the first two games.

For all the superstar breakout talk, Rose is back at around his season averages over this series (with a lot more turnovers ...) Given what he's shown us this year, it was pretty unrealistic to expect him to suddenly carry the team. He's a good chance of getting there, but right now he's not ready.

There has been a point guard who is making a claim to superstardom this series, but unfortunately it's Rondo. 23/10/11 with 4 steals and only 2 turnovers a game is just insanely good. I doubt he can keep it up, but if he can, then Boston actually still has a chance of making it to the finals even with a hobbled Garnett.

rondo has incredible gifts...he won the genetic lottery as bill walton would say minus the height...

but his stats, imo, are easy to duplicate with 2 hof'ers and his speed (which goes back to the genetic lottery thing)

Its not even about figuring us out, it seems every loose ball or tip is going in their direction. They are shooting at a ridiculous percentage and even when we do make a stop, we cant grab the board.

Tonight to me seems all jitters. We were totally out of sync. The level of stupidity of the turnovers we were making in the first half were ridiculous.

Im going to say it now. As Perkins would say - It was nothing they did, it was all on us.

They didnt nothing different. We just completely folded. They still played a heck of a game, but not to the point that we were getting owned by 30.

Be ready for game 4.

That has to do with them being more physical than us. They push our guys around a lot. This is why we need a Blair type of player on this team or trade for a Evans. Tyrus and Noah aren't going to get much stronger and we need to have backups that provide that.

I'm really upset eight now but I'm curious to see how this team responds on Sunday. If we come out and win it makes it a 3 game series which will end up at the worst being a game 6. That's all any of us can ask for right now is having a chance for a game 6 in Chicago to send us back to Boston

Rose needs to step up. He played like it was his first game playing basketball. He lost his footing a lot and made a lot of stupid passes. The team was in a rush and tonight was a night when I wanna choke Tyrus. In the third quarter he took 2 stupid jumpers which you can't take when your whole team is struggling.

I'm so disgusted in what I saw tonight.

You could argue that the two hall of famers are helping his assists and even his points, but he's also averaging 11 rebounds and 4 steals for the series so far. That's all him, he's killing us on both ends.

yeah, that's that genetic lottery working there

guy's a beast though...i didnt want to downplay him too much, but i think how he does it is more explainable than how kobe or even rose do what they do

I dont know what is up with Salmons right now though. Its almost actually like watching Hughes play.

Right now I think the last few weeks, we just saw a hot shooting Salmons and thought things were different.

But a hurt Salmons is like a Larry Hughes.

Before he would go greedy and hit his shots, now he is just missing and getting burned defensively too.

Rondo is legit, no doubt. Salmons needs to get his act together or sit because he's not helping a whole lot right now.

Haha Bulls hardly look like champ killers now do they DASMACKDOWN?
