You think Rondo will be ready for game 4?
He said he was fine in the postgame interview. He said his foot hurt and he asked Bill Walker to carry him.

As for the Bulls, ugly.

I just listened to VInny's Post game conference and do you know what he said when asked about how they changed their defense after the first game and trapping Rose and how it is affecting his play? and Vinny's response: "I don't think they changed anything - they are doing the same thing they did in game 1, Rose just needs to play and be more aggressive."

I was like what??? Game 1, they were just letting him go 1 on 1 and then when he goes inside, then send help (perkins). but since then they have been trapping him since and Vinny is NOT adjusting to that and he is just blaming Rose for it???

This is why we will NOT win any series as long as inexperienced Vinny is coaching. He doesn't know how to adjust and change things up. ALl he does is either ISO Gordon or Salmons or Run pick and roll Miller and Rose or Noah and Rose.

That is way too easy to play for teams like Boston, who is a very good Defensive team.

You stop and send double team aggressively at Gordon and Rose and Bulls have no chance. Boston figured it out with the last 2 days off and best assistant defense coach in Tom T.

Bulls are in trouble and I see it done in 5 games.

Man I wish Bill would have accidentally dropped him on the floor  . Bulls need to bring Pippen in or some other member of our championship teams to speak to this team. They must be really down after a loss like this. If I am Vinny I give them off tomorrow, and than come back to work on Saturday and prepare for Sunday.

i'll rewatch that pathetic game tonight, but as far as i remember, and the same can be said about games 1 and 2...boston isnt really trapping rose...they have trapped gordon and hinrich more individually than they have trapped rose

what they are doing with rose (at least tonight) is they just wait for the pick to come and then whoever was on the picking big will drop back to the edge of the paint and wait for derrick to try to get there making him stay outside in the 14-18 foot range...and for some reason rose isnt looking to bury that shot despite there really being no next to him after a pick

coldfish said it quite well:

After game 1, the Celtics decided to seal off the paint to stop Rose.
After game 2, the Celtics decided to continue to seal off the paint and to strong double team Gordon when he touched the ball.

The Bulls have open people on the floor, but they couldn't move the ball fast enough to get it to them or when they got the ball they couldn't convert.

The biggest problem with this loss was we continually passed up good shots when we got nervous. Instead of taking the first open good shot, we would work for a better shot that never came and ended up with a far worse shot. Over and over again. We needed to make the Celtics pay for cramming so many guys in the paint and for doubling Gordon so hard, but we couldn't.

Totally agree and I saw this all game long. Bulls passed up good shots over and over again and again and worked harder than they should and took MUCH tougher shots/or just turned it over.

It seemed like once Bulls got down (after missing ton of free throws in the beginning), Bulls just started thinking instead of reacting and started 1-on-1 and took bad shots, played in a hurry and just turned it over and played in the hands of Celtics.

I hope Vinny and Coaching staff show the film and point out that there were TON OF open shots but we just refused to shoot good ones and worked harder tahn we should to take bad shots.

This game felt like how we would go to a LONG road trip and then come back home after long time and have a bad shooting game and it affect us all the way around.

BUlls better be ready and play well and win- coz I am going to the game and I will definitely make sure that I am still perfect when I go to Bulls game.

If we win when I go sunday, DOug, you need to give me more tickets so Bulls don't lose any more home games ;)

How did that song go back in the day?..."Back tooo Life..Back to Reality..." This game was pathetic. They should change the "SEE RED" campaign to "SEE DREAD." We couldn't do anything to start any momentum and get our crowd involved and get Gary Glitters Rock n' Roll playing. This game made me wish Noc was still here. His emotion and hustle would've helped the LackadaisaBULLS get something going. How 'bout a nice playoff hard foul (not flagrant) on Rondo for penetrating. I'm not saying hurt the guy, but make him think twice about coming in there. This one-on-one, non-rebounding turnover fest made me want to puke. The key word to the last statement is TURNOVER, which killed us and is exactly what Johnny "Red" and Norm are doing in their graves after that performance. Sorry I'm venting. Curious what VDN said at halftime to these guys...I've got tix to game 4 at the UC and I hope they make the right adjustments and come to play. Was it me or was the "Home court advantage" with calls not in our favor? Can we ever get a call? Whatever man...Let's erase this and focus for Sunday.

Was it just me or did the fans not really take into consideration the wear red part. It seems that a whole bunch on half-way fans came to this game it didn't even sound loud.(even tough we didn't give them a reason to) but still so many empty seats in the front hopefully it's better next game

I hope this is a wake up call for Derrick Rose, and I hope John Paxson, Vinny Del Negro, Rose's brother, and everyone in Chicago realizes this. And what Rose needs to be waken up about is the importance of a three point shot.

In November, when Rose looked his best, Rose was shooting 36.4 from three. Then it went down to 30.4%. Then he has two months, where he shot 0% on threes, and a 12.5% month and an 8.3% month.

The magic numbers for threes is to be able to make at least 33.3% of them Rose needs to get at least to that, and preferably back up to 36% like November.

If Rose doesn't develop a semi-respectable three point shot, he will most likely never be a superstar, as teams can just do what the Celtics have been doing the past two games.

I think he needs to just start taking 3's. He rarely shoots them. Maybe he doesn't take them because he can't make them, I don't know. It seems like he is trying to be too much of a traditional PG, instead of a hybrid like Wade. Seems like he is afraid of taking shots away from his teammates.

He takes plenty of shots, almost as much as Gordon. He's just afraid of the three point shot. Not sure why he's not being forced to shoot him. I know Mike D'Antoni would be forcing him to shoot them if he was open.

I think going into this summer, the three things Rose needs to work on most are:

1. Three Point Shooting
2. Free Throws
2b. Midrange Jumper

I hope he gets some defensive skills for his birthday ;D. I will say, in the half court he has played fairly decent against Rondo. Rondo has been getting off early on the fast break, can't 100% contribute that to Rose.

He really only needs a jumper of some description. If that's a three pointer then great, but a mid range would do.

2. Free Throws

He's a 79% free throw shooter. While you'd always like better, he's already decent in that area. Certainly not something I'd want him to spend a great deal of time working on when there are much bigger holes in his game.

I think his defense is the number one priority though. So long as other teams can just attack him the whole game we're never going to be a top team no matter who you put around him.

The reason why I put free throw shooting is because of something that both Ray Allen and Ben Gordon preach (and probably Rip Hamilton too...because I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's probably a UConn thing), and that is if you're shot is flowing from the free throw line, it will likely be going good overall.

while there were enough knuckle heads there without their red on...the majority of people had on red...it was pretty red in there

plus there werent many empty seats. i believe the camera angle you guys were watching from had 6 empty seats in them...that right up close so maybe those didnt sell b/c of price...but every where else was PACKED...standing room only type packed...

Right in front of the primary camera was a patch of empty seats, but as MAQ said, the stadium was jammed everywhere, it was just a weird patch of empty seats. I'm guessing they were purchased together and the group couldn't go for some reason.

I also think it was about 90% people wearing red, so most people took it seriously.

I think this is somewhat true, but Tony Parker doesn't shoot 3s, and Dwyane Wade really didn't shoot them before this year. Michael Jordan never shot threes, and Kobe Bryant likes to chuck them, but doesn't have a good career percentage for all the people who talk about how he was a better 3 point shooter than Jordan.

If he has a deadly mid range jumper then he can still kill teams who pack the lane. He's getting there. You can see how much his jumper has already improved since Memphis. I hope he gets it out to 3 point range. I hope he gets up to 38% or so for his career even if he never becomes a great 3 point shooter, 38% is above average and enough to make teams guard you heavily out to the 3 point line. Even 35% on the year would be great with a decent volume of attempts so teams get used to him taking them and pay more attention out there.
