Don't see the Mariners really in it.

Me either... they have the money, but there's no way the M's are going to win it with Texas and LA in the division. I think Prince wants a ring and won't go there. The Jays could be tough, but I really don't know.

It's the Cubs to lose. If they offer him 5 year with a 6 year option, 25 million per they'll win. So... why not do that. Bring Cub fans an early Christmas.

Prince to the Cubs does not meant they're 3-4 years away. They could become a contender because the Cards and Brewers decrease. The Reds added a SP and that's it. If they sign Fielder, Garza will stay. Their pen is solid. Cespedes still looks like a real option and he would make the team better. I like the DeJesus signing and expect him to help. If they can sign Cespedes, Fielder and Maholm, that would make them a contender for the NL Central crown. That may look like a dream, but very possible.

The M's are WAY farther away.

Mariners: Are not going to win anytime soon because of the teams in their division and they are on the other side of the world from where he lives and not a baseball rich market in terms of extra marketing money.

Jays: Are never going to win, and I am Canadian, because of the division that they play in. I do not see the Rogers company giving a 5-6 year deal just after buying the team.

Cubs: Have the management team to be very good in a couple of years, they are close to where he lives ad has played and they offer the most in terms of extra marketing money.

Mariners... Far west coast.. next to no media coverage.

Fielder would have more endorsements for a mid west or east team.

I feel bad for Darvish, the guy on Outside The Lines just said one reason he wants to leave Japan is because people are racist towards him
