My favorite teams
Mah cawk
Saad can't play on the first line.
You know, I miss CO, when he was ganged up on he resorted to fighting back instead of bitching. CO is to HW as Shaw is to Vancouver.
if carcillo was on line 1 and not saad, toews would have 50 goals by now because of the complimentzzzz factorszzz. haha! seriously though, saad is really fucking good and those who "stand by" their opinion of saad not complimenting line 1 are fucking idiots. thats fact. no debate.
Kaner #20!
Saad not complementing Kane there.
Thought the 3rd and 4th lines were the best lines all night. A lot of energy from both. Bickell had a particularly nice game with some nice shots and some nice forechecking. Shaw played a solid game (minus the dumb penalty) and definitely earned some top 6 time at the end.
1st and 2nd lines were so so until Q made the switch (tip of the hat to him there). Love seeing Kane with Toews/Saad. Kane has been doing it all by himself on that second line and he is really the type of guy excels when he has some finishers on his line...he'll get that with those two. Hossa is the type that can do it all by himself and really just needs some complimentary players. It sounded like Sharp was ready to go but the training staff held him back from playing, hopefully he can jump in soon. Kruger played a solid second line tonight and wouldn't mind seeing a line of Sharp/Kruger/Hossa. Kruger has improved big time and his patience is great. Nice pass by Saad at the end of the night to get Kane in on the scoring.
Emery played well but left the door open for Crawford to come in and get some starts again.
Thought Oduya played a poor game. Love watching Leddy skate and I really think Rozsival helps the defense go in a big way when he is back there playing the #6 role. I'm sure Brookbank will get a few more games in but I fully expect Rozsival to be the go to guy in the playoffs, especially after the two of them played games on two different ends of the spectrum over the last 24+ hours.
Tuesday against the Wild should be a good one. Suter has been playing really well as of late and the addition of Pominville (even though they paid an out of world price) will help.
Pat/Steve spoke about it several times during the game tonight, but the Blackhawks marketing (throw McDonough in there) do a great job at getting the fans involved and especially the younger generation. Having them out on the ice, giving them a stick, a puck, etc goes a long way in making those kids' nights. All the call outs, happy birthdays, and well wishes can get a little old but to a little kid, hearing an announcer saying your name on TV is always cool. I still remember being in the stands and my Dad taking me down to the end the Blackhawks shoot around...having Roenick throw a puck over to us was the coolest thing ever at the time and went a long way in my love for the Blackhawks.
