Well jeez Beach... if you're gonna take a penalty at least knock the guy into next Tuesday.

Anyone know why Lalonde hasn't played in the first two games, was he sent down already?

Good question. We have a lot of defensemen, so who knows.

Morin almost HAS to make the team out of camp, at this point, doesn't he?

There's been no press release about Lalonde being sent back down--latest was today with Gilbert. Haven't heard that he's injured and missing practices either so who knows what Q is up to. Has Paradis been given any time? Because he's been a ghost since camp started.

I really doubt they find room for Morin, they're going to have a tough time fitting in Makarov as it is.

Bet he sees a couple stints through the year though.

Paradis is a waste of time. Ghost is a perfect explanation of his game.

Wow, Bollig just knocked Ericsson (sp?) into next week.

I don't know how you don't find room for the guy that has been, arguably, the best winger on the team in camp so far. I think, all things being equal, Morin makes the team ahead of Makarov and Skille right now. But, I doubt that happens. Can Morin even play for Rockford this year? Seems like a waste of a season if he can't, at the very least, play in the AHL.

Yeah, I realize his camp scrimmage composite stats were a grand total of ZERO! but still one is always curious to see "1st Rounders" ya know? In the back of your mind there's always interest in perhaps seeing glimpses of WHY they were picked in the first 30.

They are trying to get him in Rockford, but the Kitchener Rangers might have something to say about that.

I guess I just don't see where his game is lacking, for the NHL level. To me, he's twice the package that Stalberg is, and everyone has Stalberg as a lock to make the team. I mean, he has basically been playing against Detroit's regulars all night tonight, and has 1G, 1A, and 3 hits.

Btw, am I the only one that thinks Potulny is pretty terrible?

The CHL declared him AHL-eligible last week. The Rangers would LOVE to have him come back but it's up to him/the Hawks. He can go to the OHL/Rangers as he originally planned or play for Rockford. Of course if he went to the OHL, the Hawks wouldn't have to use up the first year on his ELC so that is the only "con" in their favor and it's not that compelling as opposed to sending him to the AHL to get some experience.

Best rookie in Camp. While I agree with you, there is still A LOT of Camp to go.

I have to laugh if that's the Wings team that's going to win the Conference. 2/3rds of their STARTERS, or more and they Barely beat a team that would be questionable in the AHL.

Yikes.

Morin had a good game. Pirri had a good game. Beach took a real stupid penalty and was absent. Crawford played very good considering the team and more specifically defense in front of him.

Thought Bolland, Brouwer and Bickell, and Kopecky were noticeable as well.

Spot on. But I'm waiting for sonny to come in and say Crawford sucks because he got the loss and allowed 3 goals.

My brother is a Kitchener Rangers season ticket holder - he's high on Morin, and would love to see him play one more year.

If this kid really has it, another year in Kitchener would be better than Rockford. How many AHL players really make it in the NHL?

Brouwer

Hendry

Sharp

Versteeg

Frazer

Burrish

there are a lot of AHL players that make it up to the NHL. By the looks of Morins skills he can't get much more out of Jr's. He'll be three steps ahead of most of them, and not have challenge.

Similar to Kane. No way would Jr's have done any more for his game if he didn't stay with the Hawks year #1.

He can learn far more in Rockford, playing against much older players, than he can smoking everyone in Kitchener.

Another good game by Morin. Also liked Smith and Pirri. Connelly has impressed me more than any other D prospect. He's making the most of his time in the AHL.
We'll see a more full line up tomorrow. PK definitely playing.
Even with the team looking to cut down to 30 players this weekend? But somehow I suspected they would want more regulars for the home game.

Good to hear PK is playing as my niece (6 years old), is going to her 1st 'Hawks game with us tomorrow, and just adores PK.

Yea he's in.

I would guess you'll see a fairly full line up tomorrow night. All I now for sure is Pat.
