Mack also had four sacks (including a strip sack) taken away by penalties that were either missed calls or had no effect on the play or both. None of the penalties was on Mack.

If Kyle Fuller is -5 on talent loss, losing Trubiskys absolute shit accuracy, especially in his last 2 games, is about a +4... Though Nagy still takes the whole team down -10.

Fuller is a big loss and one of the best CBs in the league, but I thought Roquan was our best defender last season. He was everywhere.

We downgraded at QB

We downgraded at CB

We had to embarrassingly cut one of our homegrown pro-bowl players. We failed to extend Fuller and couldn't even get a 7th rd pick for him. It was obvious he wanted to go to the Broncos. Its frustrating we couldn't levy that to force another suitor to trade for him. We aren't even going to get a comp pick out of it.

We downgraded OLB from Mingo to Attachu

We can't get anyone to trade for any of our players.

We missed an opportunity to add a decent receiver in a down market.

Trubisky signed for pennies and we canceled out RRH by signing Dalton so it means we aren't in line for receiving any comp picks

We actually haven't filled one need yet, just made another one.. We still need a QB, WR, OT, a Safety, and now a CB.

It's hard to trade players when Pace signed them to contracts 10 times above their fair pay grade

With Dalton/Trufart/and a player to be named later.

might be why you came in last? Not that the Lions faired much better mind you, lol.
They don't hand out bonus points for being the bridesmaid when trying to acquire FA talent.

Unless something unthinkable happens the Bears will head into their third straight season of having the worst starting day-one left tackle in the NFL. That really is a remarkable feat to not upgrade what is universally regarded as the second most important position on offense for three straight off-seasons.
Leno isnt the worst LT in the league. He is what he’s always been-unremarkably average.

Fuller was not the best player on defense. Mack was and is. Sacks dropped a bit but a lot were taken away by penalties by other players. Sacks aren’t the whole story. Pressures, hits, setting an edge, all while getting double teamed. Fuller was a great player for the Bears. But he was never the difference-maker that Mack is.
