Blue ray, mlb.tv, nhl centre ice, etc

Ok, Im back with more of a technical question regarding the memory sizes. Went to Gamestop the other day and read the displays for both units. Both units, with the cheapest price tag involves the memory size. 4GB Flash. So wtf is up with the flash aspect to it? I cant see needing more memory as I wouldnt be online, and the games cant take that much space, especially as games would be limited in my library for some time. Wrong assumption?

X-Box 360 - Better online, better servers, most games are built first from the xbox 360 especially sports games, better controller.
PS3 - Free online, nicer looking platform, better exclusives.

I would take the X-Box 360 in a heart beat.

From what I believe instead of a hard drive for the X-Box 360 it is a flash memory that is only 4gb but if you get the regular it is 250gb (which I have) and with the 250 you have more than enough room for ANYTHING

My PS3 still serves as my carputer. 3 years strong, and car-puter people told me that I was an idiot for doing it. I guess they were mad when they bought $2100 nanoITX units, and I used a $600 console that does a lot more! LMAO

Ok, now for an even more complicated question. With both being online, I however will not be online. Will this ultimately **** me over on either of the units? Aside 'bonus' shit, Im talking actual gameplay. This is vital obviously as it'd be like obtaining a drivers license and never have a vehicle.

You can use two 16 gig flash drives for an extra 32 gigs of memory if you need it. If you don't use xbox live or download anything that should be more than plenty.

You can also buy first party HDD's for the 360 if you ever need to upgrade. They are overpriced but you can find good deals online.

PS3 lets you use 3rd party HDDs but you'll need it because most games have mandatory installs.

Or you could just get a Sega Genesis. It has blast processing.

If you aren't going to be going online, then just get a PS3. Aside from the multiplatform games, PS3 has arguably better single player exclusive titles. It's a single player focused machine.

Xbox Live is the #1 reason to get a 360 but if you aren't going to be online, then there's really no need. Xbox's fan base is massive because of the online quality and being able to play with friends easily.

What about game comparisons? For instance, Assassins Creed? Many of the games Ive seen quickly are on both units. And remember, Im only buying preowned games that are relatively older, not 40+ bucks. Especially considering Ive never played any of em, they are now like 10-15 bucks. And with Gamestops buy 2 get one free, kickass lol

If you're getting older games check new & used on Amazon and Half. I've gotten alot of good games for under $10 - $15.

Single player games you should consider - Assasins Creed, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Bioshock.

Open world games - GTA4, Red Dead Redemtion, Just Cause 2, and you can probably get Saints Row for under $10.

Racing games - Forza 2 if Forza 3 still costs to much. Project Gotham Racing 3,4, or Grid you can probably get real cheap. I got PGR 4 brand new sealed on Half.com for under $5.

Or theres alway the Halo and Gears of War games. Can't go wrong with them.

Mass Effect is essentially a shooting game. Not quite like COD or something, but the gist of it is you shoot stuff.

Generally, games will run better on the 360 because the PS3 version of the game is usually ported over from the 360. The bigger titles like Assassins Creed, Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 don't really have much of a difference between consoles because they're developed simultaneously for each console. It's the smaller brand games like Bayonetta that are terrible ports to the PS3.

Gamestop. But now it might not become a reality once again to get a unit. Have to wait and see what happens the next few days.
