I started this with 49 Games left... 30 games later here where their at..

Cubs had 1 game lead on Cardinals and 2 game lead on Brewers..

Cubs have gone 18 - 12

Extended lead by 1 over Cardinals..

Stayed even with Brewers

19 games left..

7 with Cardinals
4 with Brewers

Got a feeling those head to head games will decide the cubs fate..

If the Diamondbacks can make up 11 games and the Nationals 9.5 games in 17 or so days against a team people were saying could win 116 games then yeah, the Cubs can blow a five game lead with 20 to play.

But let's remember something: it's a long 20 games. Plenty of time for a little Cubs run to still put this away and win the division. It might just be 7-10 days longer than you wanted but I still like their chances considering schedule/injuries.
