It is now clear that there is little to no consistency in terms of the length of suspensions given by the NHL. It isn't that Torres didn't deserve 25 games. It is that others have deserved as much and more.

Now it's clear? Are you new?

i was hoping for 40 but i guess 25 is good, the one change i think should of been applied is it should of been for the rest of this year and the first 25 next year....

I think its a relatively long suspension because of his history. This dumb **** just keeps doing it to other players..over n over. The league might want to set a standard for repeat offenders....after the first suspension, every incident afterwards gets double what the previous one was up until 4 or 5 when you are then banned from the NHL.

To us, its a game we love to watch but in reality it is a job to these players. How many fuckups like this would your boss allow before he fired you? Getting suspended hurts your team, hurts the team's botton line if it cant compensate for your lost time.

To see their reaction to the suspension....:shifty:

A couple of years ago I was vacationing in Phoenix and ran into the entire Coyote fan base...

they were sharing a booth at Dennys.

Tortorella says the Chris Neil hit on Boyle was the same as Torres' hit on Hossa? Not even close, John.

What a minute, hey now, you're not supposed to write any hockey posts that make any sense.

Seriously though, you're right. Those hits are not the same.

Torres haters, I just read this on another fan site discussing the Torres hit. You might find this interesting:

One of our Canucks summer resignings last summer actually spoke to management before signing and said he wanted to resign and come back this season, but told them he would not resign if they resigned Torres.

It may just be hearsay and rumor, but it sounds like Raffi was making enemies within his own dressing room.

I heard he's a huge ***. Maybe that's why he was making enemies "within his own dressing room"? He wouldn't - nay, couldn't stop trying to jerk everyone off. :dunno:

I dunno, makes sense when you consider his unquenchable thirst for ****.

Raffi is appealing. The paperwork is in. He doesn't like the length of it.

I cannot disagree with the merit of his appeal; however, I cannot see him actually winning.

It was about damn time they hammered him.
