Which is hoping for the unrealistic. Dalton will be extremely below average, Goldman won’t record a sack, and the better coached team with the better QB will win.

I just don’t see a realistic scenario that dalton is the better option. If so, either dalton remarkably improves under Nagys system, or Fields isn’t the guy the bears thought they were getting.

I wouldn’t say it’s unrealistic, but the chances are a lot lower. Which is why I said they gotta catch all the breaks. Stafford is the better QB and had some great offenses in DET but we have seen him flop on multiple occasions.

If Fields doesn’t play week one, then he’s not 100% ready and that’s okay. Him not beating Dalton out week 1 doesn’t determine the rest of his career.
